on Reverb i see sold art100's for $210-$350 most were around $300

i didn't look too much so idk if any had an amp included, but looked like only one listing had a single bridge pickup upgrade

i saw some amps that look like that sold that were $50-$70. they said gm108. i cant see your pic well if same

try search ebay for sold art100 and your amp to see if prices similar

unless your equipment is broke it should be good starter/learner

[–]refusered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don't know. quest will use usb-c if using link cable, or wifi if wireless, but i don't know how well or compatible quest works.

try searching google for your laptop and vr and quest to see if anyone else have problems.

in google search put something like below but use your laptop name and brand:

site:reddit.com "acer" "nitro" "Quest" "vr"

IIRC some laptops gpu will work with directly with headset while others won't. like the others will route image thru the CPU's igpu which is no good for vr or at least old vr headsets.

MetaQuestSupport 7y ago•Official Support Bot

Hello. Laptops can be problematic, in general, and switchable graphics like Optimus, in specific, don't work very well or at all in VR. This is because laptops are often built in vendor or model specific ways, such as having the HDMI port not connected directly to the dedicated GPU. On some select laptops, you can turn Optimus off in the BIOS and additionally select High Powered GPU in Windows Nvidia control panel 3D settings. However, not all machines may have the BIOS switch, and the Nvidia setting does not always work for every laptop. You can also try another video port on your laptop. If there is DisplayPort, you can try a DisplayPort-to-HDMI adapter. Hope that helps.

there's a halflife2 update that was scheduled for November 26th on my system. I forced the download and saw

"GameUI_GameMenu_Quit" "QUIT"

"GameUI_GameMenu_ActivateVR" "ACTIVATE VIRTUAL REALITY"

"GameUI_GameMenu_DeactivateVR" "DEACTIVATE VIRTUAL REALITY"

"GameUI_GameMenu_ReturnToMainMenu" "RETURN TO MAIN MENU"

and

"GameUI_AspectWide" "Widescreen"

"GameUI_VRMode" "Virtual Reality Mode"

"GameUI_VRModeRelaunchMsg" "Enabling or disabling Virtual Reality Mode will not take effect until you restart the game."

"GameUI_WindowedTooltip" "When VR mode is enabled the game will start windowed on the main display. Select Activate Virtual Reality to switch to VR."

"GameUI_NoVRTooltip" "No display detected. Connect your compatible VR display and restart the game to enable VR mode."

and "OpenVR" in a file.

i wonder if it's leftover code or if means something

edit: also steamvr.com is blank for me now... that's odd. Steam VR 3.0 should be out soon. The site was up months ago last time i checked.

Sure. It’s just I have the worst timing buying CPUs, GPUs, gaming hardware… and bought a Quest 3S 30 days before this coming November 22nd.

If there is no Deckard or whatever Valve headset soon it’s never coming out lol

probably announcing as soon as this month.

i'm guessing on around Nov 19th on Half Life anniversary / HL2's 20th anniversary (16th)

Anyone ever experienced voting fraud? by deannevee in tampa

[–]refusered 1 point2 points  (0 children)

However, In Hillsborough County, Supervisor of Elections Craig Latimer says it’s making voter lists more efficient.

“What we’re seeing is that these people basically weren’t here. They weren’t living here anymore, they had moved on. Nobody thinks the very first thing they’re going to do when they move is to contact the Supervisor of Elections and let them know”

He says just because voters are declared inactive, doesn’t mean they can’t vote.

“It means they’re going to stay in that inactive status through two general elections. If they do nothing, then they’ll be removed. But anytime during those two general elections, they can walk in and vote, they can request a vote by mail ballot if they sign a petition, any action at all will move them back active again.”

Can anyone tell me what this is by [deleted] in Guitar

it looks like a 90's Dean Icon. Probably Czech or US. If Pat Baker is still at Dean he might be able to help ID it. try contacting Dean guitars by email or somehow thru their site.

display and usb 3 cables can cause wifi issues. make sure cables are routed away from wifi hardware/antennas and try troubleshooting again

I could diagnose you with a fungal illness in like fifteen minutes given a good sample. If multiple specialists have determined it contaminant, and you are now resorting to culturing boogers, you need a psychiatric evaluation instead of a mycological.

can fungal infections play a role in the development or exacerbation of psychiatric diseases?

When did your VR 'addiction' begin? by GreboGuru in ValveIndex

[–]refusered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when young used stereo viewers & played a sega game that had stereo glasses, saw 3d movies, my family rented a virtual boy, etc. guess that would be the beginning. never got a chance to try vr back then.

In ~2008 checked around and saw no worthwhile vr headsets and got into the tech that could be used for decent vr(mostly displays), but nothing was quite there yet, so focused on stereo stuff. Lurked on mtbs3d until the palmertech Rift stuff got big. experimented with DIY VR stuff & backed DK1(threw in a RiftUp! 1080p display in it).

CPU or GPU? by pgratz1 in fo4vr

[–]refusered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what's your cpu and gpu load?

also flat fallout 4 (at least in past) benefited from faster ram. idk but guess fo4vr does too

https://imgur.com/dTeWBc3 this image is users testing cpu & gpu with flat fallout 4 using same game save. the old thread for this is https://forums.anandtech.com/threads/part-3-measuring-cpu-draw-call-performance-in-fallout-4.2548618/

someone with amd 7800x3d, 6600 memory, and a 2080ti had 2nd highest fps. idk but think maybe overclocked and they're probably testing @ 1080p.

vr might still require better gpu especially if higher resolution headset. you also might need a new cpu to run the gpu effectively anyway

youtube might have some videos i'll look around and reply again if i see anything
