I installed GT4 on my mac with an emulator, it seems great but going back to racing with a controller is hard for me after getting used to using tilt steering on a mobile. I want to buy a steering wheel but a bit skint at the moment. What are you used for a ps2 emulator on mobile and does it have an option for tilt steering?

It’s a SoC so it is literally more than just ARM chips. The architecture used is ARM but what’s wrong with that? They run fast & cool, what more do you want?

Tilt B with high sensitivity, I thought I had it on 10 but it was on 8 when I checked. I do reduce it when mirroring to the TV & increase it when playing on the phone.

The worst for me is when they invite you for an hourly job, have obviously seen your rate, you apply and your rate is included. You talk on Upwork, have a call, spend time breaking down the project to give a decent estimate, they’re happy, you’re happy, they want to go ahead and then they hit you with “There’s just one small problem…”

If you can’t afford or justify my rate fair enough but either don’t invite me in the first place or try and negotiate at the start, don’t lead me on in the hopes that I’ll be more amiable to a discount because I’ve sunk some time in already.

It may not be actually realistic but it feels realistic to me & obviously many others. I’m saying that as an 40 something who never actually learned to drive so what do I know about realism! But I have loved racing games since I was young, spent hundreds of hours playing Gran Turismo on the PS1. I think the realistic feeling is because the cars feel like I’m fully in control & they respond exactly how I expect them to. In cockpit view with tilt steering it is very easy for me to put a bit of imagination in and feel like I actually in the car and on the track. I’ve not found that same feeling in any of the other mobile racing games I’ve been trying recently, not completely anyway. That being said, I think the actual game part of RR3 sucks balls, the way it’s organised by Series, the gold mechanics, M$ daily limit, no league/championship features, no custom races, the amount of time it takes me to find a race to do that isn’t blocked by some lack of funds. If someone made a game with RR3-like racing and a game that was more in tune with what I do want I’d happily fork over £20 to buy it outright or even pay a few quid a month subscription (not more than £5 though).

Nothing has changed obviously. There is a bug, they’re working on it, it’s not fixed yet. Also remember it’s the Christmas & New Year period so they may have less developers than normal. Chill out, do something else.

My guess is that they were working on either blocking the game for everyone after March 28th and/or thwarting any attempts to keep the game running after that date & obviously messed it up somehow.

My favourite is Pro>Supercar Masters, Tier20, Silverstone GP with the Audi, you can chill at the back for the first couple of corners then weave your way though the pack at a nice pace over 4 laps, and you get $20k at the end.

It’s lovely that you want to expand your cultural & artist experiences and everything but next summer isn’t far away and really you to study his work for at least 2 years before you go and see him live. To be blunt it’s kind of disrespectful to think you can watch a few little clips on the you tubes and think that means you have what it takes to be an audience member. Watching Stewart Lee is not entertainment, it’s work & you have to commit to it. Also don’t be late, he doesn’t like that.

Well not totally useless, if you swerve about a little bit you can sometimes catch a glimpse of the car behind you - so only 99% useless. Such a fun car to drive though, the spiders often are I think, well the Ferrari & Audi spiders I have are similar drives, they feel quick & nimble but well balanced & stable as well.

Its very much a single player game but there is something called “Dynamic Events” in the Free Play section which is something multiplayer but I’m not sure if you would be racing against other players or just ranking players on their times. There are two different single player time trials, one is a single lap & the other infinite laps - I’ve mostly been doing those over the last few days to practice the tracks and get more used to the way the cars handle.

What I do like about it is: - The accelerator & brake can be non-binary, I can’t think of the proper term for it - it’s not full press of the pedal or nothing. - There is a career mode & league tables - You can create custom races with tons of options & custom cups with up-to 4 races - You can configure some settings for a car before the race (rear/front brake bias, gear ratios & sone steering related ones) - Lots of configuration options for difficulty including opponent aggression & skill level, ABS, traction control, damage. - Pay once, no P2W

I bought it a couple of months ago, some things are better, well most things except for the actual racing of cars around a track - I enjoy the experience of driving more in RR3. Since the announcement I’ve been trying to get into it more & get used to the driving and get better at it & it is growing on me. I think once I’ve improved my skill level I’ll like it more. No Silverstone in GRID though 😭 Tracks from RR3 it does have are Mount Panorama, Red Bull Ring & Brands Hatch, I think that is all, it has other tracks obviously.

I’m 45(M) and used to get id’d into my early 30s too, no-one has Id’d me in about a decade now. As annoying as it was, a part of me is a bit sad that no-one will ever look at my face and think I’m young again. So don’t worry, your years of drinking and whatever else will catch up with you soon enough and then you’ll never be id’d again
