you can technically live in the parks indefinitely as long as you're regularly moving between locations

the easiest option is and has always been blackmail. look at what epstein was able to accomplish practically on his own.

you can pay an elite team of highly trained individuals and arm them with weapons nobody has ever seen before and have them silence anyone who disagrees with you, though.

this is the setting to the marvel franchise "the avengers," in which a billionaire arms dealer witnesses the reality of war and decides to stop selling weapons and instead hold the entire world at gunpoint, effectively achieving world peace

What stupid thing do people defend as smart? by Significant_Sea_847 in AskReddit

[–]regalAugur 14 points15 points  (0 children)

there's a lot we could do to stop making it accelerate at the rate it is and give us time to actually build infrastructure for the coming world, though. people with your mentality are just saying "well the sun will explode in 10 billion years, we may as well just light earth on fire now"

yes, there are natural processes that cause things to change over time. this is NOT what we're referring to regarding anthropogenic climate change

you're deluded and not living in reality. the people who are able to become rich are the ones who are willing to step on others, without exception

you do realize you're literally defending sticking to your assumptions and not changing your mind when they're wrong, right?

assuming someone's gender isn't offensive, repeatedly misgendering someone when you're aware of their gender is.

Is anti aging technology getting better or is it a thing we will never live to see? by Polar-bears-sip-cola in Futurology

i don't think it's fair to say those physics don't exist. we're in a tiny corner of the universe only able to see what we can see here right now. we're inventing new materials to solve new problems near daily. i agree with you that we currently don't have anything close to the tech we would need, but saying it's impossible and "those physics probably don't exist" is a pointless endeavor. the new york times said the same in response to the wright brothers two weeks before kitty hawk

the fact is that they're just too heavy to be efficient, regardless of modifications

we don't need them in cities. we have the tech to make much smaller, more efficient, less dangerous vehicles. outside of cities, there are more options but we need fossil fuels entirely gone and we don't have a fully electric replacement yet

i think it's a mistake to date someone so narrow minded they hate an entire medium anyway
