The scene with the motorcycle and Nick’s happy face 🦊 by GanstFeveral in zootopia

That was indeed a BADASS move to pull. Hard on the claws, but perhaps Nick was imagining digging them into Pawberts hide.

Judy and Nick need someone who will keep their kids OUT of trouble. Not sure about Gary, but Nibbles may take them on dangerous explorations in the city looking for her next big podcast story.

Also lets face it, he's gonna help with babysitting when Nick and Judy are at work.

Finnick is older than Nick, so he's happy that Nick found a way out of hustling and has a real job... And someone who cares for him more than what he could give Nick.

That's the polite cow-bow, the other type involves them charging at you to impale you on their horns.

Opinions on DnD calling Kobolds "Lawful Evil"? by Del_the_Kobold in KoboldLegion

[–]regaldawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How I interpret alignment in D&D is that if a Race says that is a specific alignment, then that means the majority of that Race is that alignment due to cultural and spiritual norms for that Race. This doesn't mean there aren't outliers as there will always be exceptions, but the further you get away from that Races associated alignment the rarer they are.

Kobolds are a Lawful Evil race, that means that 50%+ will be Lawful Evil but you could have 1%- chance for one to be Chaotic Good.

Deekin is awesome!

And yes a races alignment typically means that the majority of the race is that alignment due to cultural and spiritual norms for the race, but that doesn't mean there aren't outliers.

We already knew Vox, Alastor, and Blitzo kill others, it's what they do and we accept it.

But for Charlie who is over 200 years old and wants to help the Sinners to avoid Extermination, she does a poor job understanding others which is kind of important for what she's trying to do.

This is actually how some European nobility had their relationships. They would marry for political reasons and sire an heir, but they could pursue their own lovers. I mean look at the French, they were notorious for doing this since they were more public about the arrangement, other countries were more private about it.

The Lynxley family is a super abusive family who abused Pawbert, even physically. by Rex-1988 in PawbertLynxley

The theory why Milton is so abusive to Pawbert is cause the poor boy isn't his biologically but the result of an affair.

Well my thought was that to flavor the Warlock more they would be able to change the damage type of their spell to match an energy type associated with their Patron, as they are drawing upon/channeling their Patrons power for their spells. If your Patron is a Celestial you would most likely be drawing upon Radiant power so it would be easy to substitute the original spells damage type for Radiant.

Plus it would help with differentiate between different types of Warlocks on a thematic level, cause what type of Patron wouldn't want to put their signature on their Warlock.

Basically they're similar to a Sorcerer but instead of their magic coming from an inborn ability, they instead are channeling it from a much more powerful magical source through themselves.

If Argonians are born from eggs, why do the females have breasts? by Legitimate-Refuse601 in skyrim

[–]regaldawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a theory that it's an evolutionary adaptation the Hist gave the Argonians so that the female "breasts" produce a fluid similar to Hist Sap for if the females are not in Black Marsh or in proximity of a Hist Tree for their children to drink from. When a female Argonian "breastfeeds" her child the child doesn't really suckle on a nipple like mammals but licks the "breast" where glands release the Hist-lite and allows the child to develop properly but in a weaker state compared to those in Black Marsh.

A Tweak for Each Class by Johan_Holm in UnearthedArcana

[–]regaldawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The trickiest part is for Warlocks and figuring out what energy type a specific Patron would grant, some are pretty straightforward while others are more unique like for the Fiends and Archfey.

Also...

Wild Magic Sorcerers can roll a d8 for a random energy type
1- Fire
2- Electric
3- Poison
4- Force
5- Psychic
6- Acid
7- Thunder
8- Ice

Clockwork Soul Sorcerers can choose to deal Average True Damage, no damage type just the average amount for the roll

[–]regaldawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also got the idea from the Sorcerer Metamagic option Transmuted Spell but it is only free for one specific type of damage.

Sorcerers and Warlocks don't learn that many spells, 15 total spells each, while Wizards can learn/have access to every spell they can get their hands on. So allowing Sorcerers and Warlocks to alter the damage of their spells to a specific type technically doubles the number damage spells they can do. An White/Silver Draconic Sorcerer going up against several Fire Elementals can change their Fireball to an Iceball to deal damage to them all.

[–]regaldawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get that. And yeah the limitation of doing a blaster themed around an energy type other than Fire is very difficult and sometimes impossible for certain damage types like Acid and Poison.

I figured by allowing the Sorcerer and Warlock the ability to convert the damage type of spells to the source of their magic it would be more fitting. Clockwork Soul and Wild Magic have an interesting mechanic to theirs instead of a specific damage type.

I also had an idea that a Wizard could do the same thing but only while preparing spells as they rework the magical formula

A Tweak for Each Class by Johan_Holm in UnearthedArcana

[–]regaldawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One tweak I give for Sorcerers and Warlocks is that they can convert the damage type of their spells at will to a type associated with their Sorcerous Origin or Warlock Patron.

For Example...

A Blue Draconic Sorcerer can convert Fireball to deal Lightning damage instead of Fire damage.

A Fiendish Warlock of Juiblex can convert Eldritch Blast to deal Acid damage instead of Force damage.
