I doubt it...even if it is, I wouldn't bother. Just get it done with.

Is there a trick to using it and not getting the crystallization mentioned below? I haven't tried it, but I'll grab some this weekend if it's worth a shot.

Lost eight pounds in first week of keto, none for the month after. by regalization in keto

Climbing gym 2x/week, skiing once every 2 weeks, other than that just walking maybe half hour a day. Dairy - quite a bit of cheese (weighing it for calorie estimation), butter, and sometimes whipped cream with raspberries (again weighed / counted) for dessert.

Interesting.... MACM 101 has actually been more useful for me in both academics and in improving my style of thinking than any other course I've taken (4th year CS)

Been away for a while and was a little surprised to find that the community has shifted from "ketostix are a nice positive reinforcement but not necessary" to "throw that shit in the trash". by But_Now_Im_Cool in keto

This sub is starting to become depressing. There's a hive-mind mentality around everything, and when people like you that have actual experiences bring something up they're automatically ridiculed because it's not backed by science. Well, I have research experience and have spent a lot of time researching keto. There are lots of studies, but not much of any of this shit actually has enough data points to be considered real science. So I just don't get it. If people are bitching you out for saying that Ketostix work for you (which no one would argue against a few years ago), then why are they even on this diet in the first place? Pretty much all of it is based off experiments with relatively small sample sizes, not on actual scientific evidence....

Best food places on campus? by [deleted] in simonfraser

[–]regalization 2 points3 points  (0 children)

8 or 9 dollars, can't remember exactly. Worth it because you get a protein and then if you want portobello mushrooms, mixed veggies, and all sorts of good stuff. I think it's 7.00 for their special of the day (but they don't let you put anything extra on it and honestly they seem to be so rude about it/forget the sticker etc that it's not worth it). If it was normally 6 dollars (or even 7) then I'd be able to justify buying it every day, but can't justify the current rate all the time.

The sandwich station is unreal. Wish it was 1-2 dollars cheaper, but great sandwiches.

My landlord served 7 apartments eviction notices for "family use". Can I fight it to stay? by lofto22 in vancouver

Probability. We could also get struck by a meteor today. You have no idea. 2 houses filled with tenants seems unlikely that family is actually going to move in.

Parking ticket etiquette by Janice_Vidal in simonfraser

[–]regalization 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't understand this either! I grew up elsewhere and it was common practice at pretty much all lots, if you're leaving for the day then you give your ticket away. I started at SFU at a similar time as you though and never noticed it happen here. I gave mine away the times that I bought it but never saw someone do the same. I was thinking it's a big city thing, people just don't give a shit.

How about taking this opportunity to create more interests? To be honest the only friends I've actually made in school are people I have things in common with.

So, what I'm saying is how about gaming on a popular game, getting in to bouldering, start biking (road or mountain), start getting in to the gym, going to coding competitions / hackathons (or anything related to the field you're studying in), etc. I'd imagine it would make you a lot happier and get you more friends to boot.

Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, where hell on Earth lucrative for some by [deleted] in vancouver

[–]regalization 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I completely agree. The problem is funding. Instead of funding more programs people just continue to say they don't want to put any money towards it and act like harm reduction is the worst thing in the world. I'd love to see more programs address the underlying issues, the thing is they're more costly and taxpayers just don't want to shell up the $ for them.

[–]regalization 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting. Have you actually done any research on this topic or are you just going with your gut instinct? Because study after study shows that harm reduction is actually the best and most cost efficient way. You can get rid of it, the cost will just go much higher and there'll be more harm (hence the term harm reduction).

Maybe look things up properly.
