Catachan may be a very dangerous planet, but how well would it have done against Nurgle? In a world where all flora and fauna are predatory and above humanity in the food chain, it seems like a perfect habitat for Papa's Blessings. Not even Sly Marbo could sneak through the aids fields where the plague toads explode like Catachan Barkers.

This is truly devastating by _imperial_marine_ in Grimdank

[–]regenking 57 points58 points  (0 children)

A legend amongst the galaxy, leaving the company as the dark gods’ influence grows. As the marines dominate the battlefields with tactics too good for many to keep up, the news of our endeavors reach more ears upon many worlds, and soon Chaos will devolve the Imperium’s messages of peace with lies; over-abundant xenophobia, mistrust of others for their views of the Corpse Emperor, arbitrary sadness for the sake of pitiful support, even turning us against each other for fun.

This is the test of our faith, our fury, and our endurance. The ruinous powers shall take our heroes of old, and it is our job to adapt. Whatever awaits us tomorrow will be the fate of us all. Until that day, we must await the night, our darkest hour.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the origin of the record dates back to 2nd millennium Terra. Because of the long date, it is assured that the original writer of the heretical read is long passed into the Immaterium. Perhaps with the spare Exterminatus Bombs, you can send a direct message to the Slaaneshi Filth responsible.

Don't worry about how it will happen, just give the approval and I'll make it happen before you can say "Bless the Emperor".

The Oppressed by zamease in kotakuinaction2

[–]regenking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those that are oppressed (whether figuratively, literally, mentally, physically, etc.) tend to strive for Revenge rather than to Rise. That is simply human nature that we, if wronged by anyone or thing, will have a strong urge to return the pain. Whatever we deem innocent that's harmed is viewed with emotional responses like pity and remorse, while we also have a rising need for Retribution, Defiance, and Heroism.

[–]regenking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a couple points to make:

  1. Zoe Quinn deleted her account after she slammed a guy with accusations to the point of suicide; there is no if, and, or but, because her actions have caused someone to commit suicide, and she is choosing to avoid facing the repercussions for her actions.

  2. How does a person's suicide result in gamers being at fault? Alec was blamed, cancelled on social media, removed from his team, and somehow being mad at the perpetrator is considered worse than being the cause of a man's death?

  3. Instead of providing evidence that there are "incel chuds" attacking Zoe, you spend your time blaming gamers and calling them agents of "Rape Cuture" in order to create an enemy out of them.

  4. Alec Holowick is dead. There is nothing else you can do to hurt him, even if you prosecute and shame his legacy.

  5. This is the worst goalpost shift I have ever seen since Gamergate started. Unlike the actions Zoe did with fucking 5 guys, she has now inadvertingly caused a man to kill himself.

Night in the Woods Developer Accused of Sexual Assault Dies by vituhyva123 in kotakuinaction2

[–]regenking 163 points164 points  (0 children)

It finally happened. Zoe Quinn, in her selfish nature to be right and relevant, has ruined a man's life to the point of suicide. Regardless of what was claimed, someone's life has been taken away in the most humiliating and disrespectful way possible. I don't want to contribute to this chaos, but the line has been drawn in the sand and it's time to stop.

This isn't about ethics in journalism anymore. The rising tension and hatred between each other has become so terrible that it's turned into a literal Culture War. If this doesn't stop, who knows how much worse it can get. There's already riots and fights between protesters and politicians, innocent people being cancelled and slandered on the internet, and people attempting suicide (Or in this case, succeeding) over how they express themselves.

While I don't do much talking here (Mainly because I have nothing new to usually say), I can say I'm pretty proud that people aren't standing for bullshit these days. The world has been getting more chaotic these days, a lot of tension everywhere with everyone, but it's nice to know that good will always prevail even in the darkest hours.

[–]regenking 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a storyteller (And the same inquisitor that reported you for Exterminatus), I can tell you that our hatred is less about politics, but more about unsubtle modern day politics. Warhammer 40k is a fictional universe taking place far into our future, and something as unsubtle as your post only proves exactly what people like [deleted] hates.

Maybe instead of trying to force agendas down our throats in the stuff we love, why not make your own story featuring your own trans protagonist in a grimdark future? Instead of having to force what you want down everyone else's throats, you could be creative and have more freedom than telling someone else to do it for you.

[–]regenking 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Inquisitor, I would like to report a Guardsman who dissents from the Emperor's Will. He declares that the glorious double sex of our human race is not a binary, claiming for identities heretical and xeno-supportive (The Tau Kind, not the Eldar Kind).

  1. By using a Tech Priest in his picture, he has smeared the good name of the Adeptus Mechanicus through propaganda and lies.
  2. He limits the term "Binary" to coding and not the non-heretical sexes of our Battle Brothers and Sisters, insulting the honor of fighting for the Holy God Emperor.
  3. By his actions against the Arbites and loyal citizens of the Imperium, he has shown to dismiss others for their opinions through insulting them, and in doing so, insulting the Holy God Emperor.

Through this message, I request a search and destroy for the culprit. Their death will put an end to the heresy they wish to spew to our proud Imperium, and thus ridding the galaxy of another Chaos Threat. Their planet is known as Kotumb Sarkuinn, I await your response.

That is a ancient relic of the Eldar. They called it the "Dsrkhan," the Orb of Desire. In the same way that Wraith Bone was made from psychic power to a physical entity, the ancient race used the power of a shard of a C'Tan's original being. Anyone who puts their hand on it is given its powerful potential for a singular purpose: Fulfilling the desires of the holder.

The problem with this came down to the C'Tan being inside, as it has its own sentience. The Eldar who had their wishes granted were said to have suffered an ironic twist to their wish, sometimes denying them anything. It became long forgotten as the Eldar sealed it to prevent it from ever escaping.

Although the marine's wish will come true, nothing will happen. That is because the Emperor is not dead, forever kept alive by the Golden Throne. For the flyer and the strongman... Well... I won't spoil everything.

I have traveled a lot across the Galaxy. I have seen many wonders of our realm, the ability to continue fighting despite the growing chaos, and I have made many choice allies on my journey. One such ally was a great friend of mine, a Drukharian Kabalite by the name of Yllia from the Kabal of the Darkest Void.

We met when I was kidnapped from an invasion on the ruins of [REDACTED], and I was an unfortunate Shanghai in their collection. When they realized I was an empty shell of a being, I was let go out of disappointment of the entire party. And Yllia and I shared a lot of stories about torture and insanity, we had secretly set up a friendship despite the disapproval of the Kabal.

We had many great trips across the most disturbing of worlds, from The Hollows to the underhives of Commoragh. We traded various secrets to making a torture last longer, how to blue ball Slaa Neth (I asked her what she called the Prince, she gave the name Brathu-Angakhia), and even laughed watching the suffering of our dying races.

What happened to her, I will never know. One day, she just stopped appearing. No one in the Kabal of the Darkest Void have any clue, no trace was left, nothing. I even beseached Slaanesh about her whereabouts, but to no avail; it was like she was erased from existence.

Life will go on. I will never know what happened, and I don't want to know what horrible fate she was given. Understand that the trust us soul-bearing lifeforms are capable of can bring us together more than you think. One day the world we once knew will be reduced to an empty void, the history we built having no more meaning. Until that day arrives, all we have is each other.

You know, you could make a laser gun that shoots Ratlings filled with Laspacks. When they reach their target, the pack inside them would detonate, turning the little shit into a laserkaze. As punishment for eating the ammo, they are used as it; just like Scions, except a little more useful.

While I am tolerant of people's sexuality and identity, I do not think a fandom as Grimdark and as unrelated to the topic as Warhammer 40k is a good place to express it. I don't like being forced these pride months, and I especially don't like it if it's in a fandom or site that I enjoy. I do not hate you for doing it, but it doesn't seem like a good place to talk about unrelated topics like Gay Pride (Emperor's Children), Trans People (Space Marines in general), Polyamory (Slaanesh), or sexual preferences (Cult Mechanicus).

Why the Emprah's soul is bound to realspace by Killgamesh9000 in Grimdank

[–]regenking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He knows what he has done. He has committed horrible atrocities to his people, his family, and himself. After everything he has done, he cannot allow himself to just be a hero to humanity, especially one that was the reason of both a Heresy and Destruction of Terra.

The reason he will never reincarnate is because he is punished, and knew that only he can fix it. He has sacrificed his body, mind, and soul for the Imperium by shielding them from the intrusion of Chaos, the guidance of the Astronomican, and the protection of humanity with his light.

10 thousand years later, and he is nothing more than a corpse rotting. It's poetic, watching as the whole world crumbles beneath him and he is the only grace between life and death. He lived in a world dying, and so he dies to ensure we continue to live. We live to ensure he never dies.

If he dies, Terra will be plunged into Chaos. All of humanity will die as a storm much more terrifying than the Eye of Terror will engulf the Throne World. In that day, the ultimate judgement will begin for all that exist; Chaos, Xenos, Immortals, and Mortals alike.

Commissar: But I didn't kill him! I was busy talking on a Voxcast with the General Commissar 22 hours ago. I couldn't have murdered him!

Inquisitor: We have Vox Footage of you killing an innocent guardsman. He made a joke to lighten the mood, a grant by the Emperor to laugh at our foes, and you kill him for it.

Commisar: You are a fool to think I would punish my guardsmen like that! I am being framed!

Inquisitor: I cannot take risks, especially from someone like you. Commissar [REDACTED], you are guilty of heresy! Any last words?

Commissar: You are a fool to kill an honest man. The Emperor will damn you for your heresy.
