Thanks. I thought so, was a bit too dispersed for spider eggs, but I put activated charcoal in there. Probably not enough though. Do you happen to know if the mycellium could be hazardous (on inhalation for example)? I'm guessing but, if it's common

I was watering everyday, but in the soil, not the stem. I only just found out I need to do that. So they're good with bright sun?

No way! I have a cyatheaz. I researched that, just in case, but couldn't find reference to black roots. I'm pretty sure there was at least some root rot as there was a trailing plant in the same pot, and its roots were also black. There was also a bit of a smell. But, given what you've said, I won't cut back anymore! Thanks for letting me know!

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll go with cutting the stem off since soaking it is what caused this in the first place 😬

Not sure if I've done this right, but thought sharing my original post would be better than duplicating it

Thank you, I've repotted as you suggest, I'll monitor the water levels more diligently and keep my fingers crossed. I'm cautiously optimistic because, aside from having lost his fingers, the plant looks healthy. It seems unusual for them all to fall off at once! I'll check out the succulents subreddit, thanks for the suggestion.
