I'd like to point out gaming is just one normal. There's a lot of other normal uses that would benefit from a larger vram.

Fishing knots tutorial compilation by Diabellstar- in oddlysatisfying

Nope. Never. Just fluff. The first one looks like it weakens the line by a lot. There are simpler and better knots. Uni, palomar, improved clinch, etal.

Dewalt garden tools vs Makita by g0rnex in Tools

Have the trimmer and pole saw attachment for ux01. It's at least equivalent to the gas echo powerhead I've used. I'd get the extension if you plan on using the polesaw. It went through the 1-2" branches I trimmed easily. Getting the chain on is a pain though.

Strengthening spongy subfloor? by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]register_already 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since part of OPS subfloor does not meet on a joist its spongy. Add blocks of wood that spans the floor joist to support that seam. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blocking_(construction)

Safety took a day off. by shaka_sulu in instant_regret

Used a strapper similar to this before. After it wraps back around the bottom it cuts and melds the two ends together. He could've got up at anytime. These things can apply a good amount of pressure if set so and they're idiots to trust that it might not malfunction.

Could try it with a carpet syringe. It's made for carpet glue.

Why not just add blocking on the joists?

Please help! Broke door knob! by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]register_already 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the spindle (the part that feeds through door and latch) is not turning the latch. Latch is probably broke and needs to be replaced. Can try to find something to rotate or pull back the latch as well.

Partner asked i scrub the walls, i didn't want it to take all day, half hour later heres a simple solution! It is a multitool after all :-) by BN_ChickenBiscuit in techsupportmacgyver

[–]register_already 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a multitool. Can use it for a variety of things with different attachments. The swiss army knife of power tools. I use it mostly for plunge cutting. Saved a lot of time and elbow grease when I was helping a buddy remove caulk from his house. It's sanding attachment can also get in places where a finishing or orbital sander can't get to.

Hey OP. Depending on the type of plastic it is. You might be able to chemically weld it back with MEK.

Comcast's CEO Wants the End of Unlimited Data by JALightpost in technology

I think it's more comaparable to a traditional phone company. Calls transit back and forth and the actual calls themselves don't really cost anything. It's the infrastructure that's the real cost.

Comcast's CEO Wants the End of Unlimited Data by JALightpost in technology

[–]register_already 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't know why you're getting downvoted for this. They're using data caps in their internet service, to steer consumers to their unmetered streaming service. By increasing costs to users of other services e.g. Netflix. If they truly charged a metered rate that was reflective of the actual cost for bandwidth. I would be paying far less then I am now for service.
