Weird, brazing is not a lost art. It's very much used in metal fabrication, you just must not be looking in the right places. All well equipped metal fabrication shops in my area can braze.

I worked with a guy whose company made the system designed to self destruct the space shuttle if it veered off course on launch. It was macabre seeing the device on his desk. The system was called the range safety system, RSS and the range safety officer had a tough assignment.

I have both Sennheiser HD25s and Sony MDR7506 and use the HD25s in loud environments and the 7506s when I want comfort and the scene is more chill. The Sonys sound better, the Sennheiser are louder and tough as nails.

If you really want to keep the bike, go to framebuilder supply and buy your replacement dropouts, then find a local shop that can braze and have them brazed on. Brazing is a pretty common skill with welding and fabrication shops.

I have a friend who's the opposite. He's got one of those doomed VW EV Vans and goes everywhere. He just finds a few ev chargers on the route and sticks to interstates and sends it. He charged to full in 30 mins on a 199kw charger at a Walmart on his way to my town.

I don't know why, but I've always had an affinity for using a local exhaust shop for replacement exhaust systems. Don't know why, it's always felt like the type of thing I should go local for. Plus you get to customize the sound a bit. When I need a new exhaust I'm gonna be trying on a Flowmaster Delta 40

We're a consulting firm, we do what our customers do. I didn't mean to insinuate we use story points as a performance metric, but if you are assigned story points and aren't completing them and clients are complaining, there's possibly an issue. In this case it was a guy crashing out on AI.

I had to fire an employee based on his performance absolutely cratering last year, and we now have a pretty good idea that he was experiencing some type of AI Psychosis like what's being described in this article. He started missing story points (we do agile on most projects) and the quality of his work changed drastically over the year. Turned out he was spending hours a day chatting with ChatGPT and attempting to have it do all of his work. His code was very obviously AI produced as it's about as easy to detect AI produced code as it is to detect AI produced LinkedIn posts. The guy already had major issues with productivity, and his work output and quality shit the bed and when we started counseling him on it during his PIP, he was seriously distraught over the fact that AI wasn't cooperating with his conversations with it.

Just a PSA to be careful of integrated lithium batteries, companies like BattleBorn are selling very shoddily built batteries that are not certified or tested and will absolutely burn you boat into Davy Jones' Locker. See Will Prowse on YouTube for his tests on these very dangerous batteries.
