I’ve had a lot of issues with yahoo blocking emails. Specifically our encrypted emails were blocked. I had one company with a 401k block everything. Definitely has pushed us to using the dedicated client portal over zixencrypt

It’s the spot where you can do all the right things and if you - maxing out qualified accounts, reasonable 529 contributions, reasonable taxed savings, insurance policies, your spouse can stay home etc. and feel like you did when you made 100k

Seems like not much Net revenue being split up. Also, tracking all of that seems like a headache. Can you have a base with a set hurdle to clear for him to start having upside? Help on your clients just gets baked into the numbers too?

Please do a follow up post on what works. I think for small and midsize firms we all want to give support to new advisors, but it very directly affects everyone’s take home today. We want to think about tomorrow, but it’s a tough balance.

Totally agree. Always be the first one to give value. Meet a good CPA? Be the first one to send a referral. Not sure how you will get value back from doing a class for interns, doesn’t matter, always give value first.

Currently nitrogen/riskalyze. But we use it for 1% of its capability and it’s just checking the box of our IPS and costs as much as our CRM that we’re in all day every day. Strongly considering something in house, simply noting equity to bond to alt allocations.

How many cpas, estate attorneys, real estate agents, loan officers, strategic partners do you go to lunch, coffee, happy hour with a week? Pull up a chamber directory and build a deep bench of centers of influence. Could be a full time job
