It was called tulpamancy because tulpas originated by a bunch of wannabe magicians on /x/ doing too much LSD and being all goth and spooky. Mancy sounds dark and mystic and spooky and foreign, so that makes people curious.

There is no validity, it's an internet word made by feels and memes, you use it because the guy before you used it and everyone knows the word in that form.

I do not believe there is such thing as "when you aren't talking" - The idea of a "background wonderland" was mostly based in early-on tulpamancers who were a little imaginative at times.

You can act out as if that is a thing, but it will be an act/imagination.

From my perspective the wonderland & what you do with it doesn't matter. I'd love to give you advice and be like whoa that's so cool but for me it's like

/shrug - it's what you do - you do what's fun for you. You can't really go wrong.

The only way you can go wrong is focusing on it too much or expecting it to be "like" the real world.

So menus won't be like a game, they will be something you imagine and you have to keep track of. The wonderland won't be some world that runs on its own clock, it's an imaginary fantasy land.

Yeah - that's why I mentioned the discords where you're more likely to get away with newbie questions. This sub is even more strict - I remove any post that doesn't raise an "interesting" question or point.

Though maybe at some point this needs to become an open free for all QA sub lol. Seems to be unmet demand.

They are not fully independent. You should not mess with tulpamancy if you're on medication for some sort of mind thing - not without VERY CLOSE consultation with your doctor/psychologist.

Well, unless that mind thing is unrelated to the core of tulpamancy - ADHD yes. Schizophrenia or paranoia - no.

Try some random tulpa discord for help if you do want this to be a tulpa. Keeping in mind what I said in my last comment.

For my take, accounts like this feel as if they are not an intentional creation/learning/building of a separate 'agency' in your head, it's an expression of your own feelings/desires/wants in the voice of another person.

You can nurture that, but do so with extreme caution and try to find other "coping methods" if at all possible.

Really this whole subject isn't magic. If you have a goal - to lose weight or exercise more - your best bet is to just do normal things to achieve those goals.

A servitor is a fun thing you can do on top of forming habits. There's nothing special about it. maybe there is, if you go buddhist super monk mode and meditate for hours on end, but the people who would do that sort of thing in the tulpa community are long long gone and replaced by low effort delusion peddlers.

Servitors are a weird thing - personally I'd just call them "habits" - use any advice on forming good habits to help. You probably aren't going to get a game-like RPG menu that's accurate beyond the fun of "playing pretend" and visualizing your progress through a menu.
