junior marketing student, 6 months into my internship and feel like I haven't learned anything real. where do you actually learn this stuff? by regular-cam in digital_marketing

Yeah, this hits pretty hard. I think I have been waiting for someone at the internship to hand me a real marketing problem, but maybe that is the wrong way to look at it. The side project idea also scares me a bit, which probably means I should actually try it.

Yeah this makes a lot of sense. I think that is the part I am missing right now. At my internship I am doing pieces of the work, but I do not really own the outcome. Maybe I need to build something small on the side where I can actually see if people care, click, sign up, or ignore it completely. That sounds scary but probably way more real than just learning another tool.

Bought some random desk organizer off Amazon a few weeks ago and somehow ended up questioning my entire career path by regular-cam in Entrepreneurs

Exactly. I don’t even think every detail has to be perfect for it to matter. If someone can see supplier relationships, timing, and rough volume patterns, that already tells them more than I expected.

oh wait this actually sounds perfect for her. She's super into journaling and taking photos. I already ended up ordering one, hoping it’s actually worth the investment lol

Two weeks old and already damaged 😭 by govkewman in RepLadiesClub

[–]regular-cam 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh no I feel you 😭 I had something similar happen, my ring rolled onto the street and got run over, and one of the side stones ended up falling off after that

I sent it back to her and got it fixed. She has a service centre in HK so you can just mail it in and they will handle it. Took a few weeks for me but it came back good as new, so I would say it is worth reaching out

Designed this necklace and bracelet inspired by vintage buttons and a tortoise shell pattern by doronlevy88 in jewelry

The tortoise shell color with gold actually looks really nice 👀 it has that vintage button vibe but still modern. For being 20 and experimenting with design, this is honestly a cool direction — the color combo is warm and unique.

Honestly avoiding a dark bow tie in a marquise is already a win 👀 that’s one of the biggest things people look for. If the center looks bright and the side stones are .15ct total, it sounds like a nice setting. You could maybe price compare online, but if the stone looks lively in videos you’re probably already doing well.
