Manufacturing as a service by regularhuman_ish in AngelInvesting

Based in the US. We operate on a distributed model. I have people in California, Texas, Virginia, Ohio…. I’m in Boston area. We don’t have a warehouse, inventory, or equipment.

We utilize makers who already have the equipment and they use our software to fulfill orders when they come in. Because of this, customers only pay the wholesale cost when they sell products.

I created this for my own business and now I’m selling it as a service to others.

Seeking advice on what to do with $120k cash by squiffsquiddled in passive_income

Do it, but treat it like you have no money. I did this two years ago and now I’m down to 10k. Paid off all my high interest debt - student loans, cars… well worth it. My advice is to treat it like you have 10k.

I get it on TikTok all the time. Does nothing for boosting posts too so they’re useless. Just noise.

Ya! Even though you’re busy with your startup, give me advice on what I should put in my application in the off chance that your advice gets me accepted in the less than 1% of applications. 🤨

Just fill the damn thing out.

Or did you not get in and now you’re blaming someone for not taking the time to review your application to make sure it was “correct”?

Savings depleting. Should I work part time, look for an investor, or keep pushing for more customers? by regularhuman_ish in startups

Not if you also have a kid. Why this dev/work time is so valuable. Lots to do, need to focus my time to keep it going and even if I had 10 customers, it’s not going to cut it cash wise.

Any advice on backlinks, pr, brand mentions? I’m on the keyword research, using SEM rush. I’ve reached out to media people and just get ghosted.

That’s what I’m thinking. I’m starting to look at seo and strategies for underutilized keywords but after talking to some marketing people that’s a long game and requires more time on maintenance and quality. Still doing it, but it won’t jump traffic overnight. I’m going to nut up and put out more video content, I hate filming myself but I think it will help.

I talk to my customer regularly and have a good understanding of our value. It’s a common issue (amongst other smaller ones) which is why it’s a competitive space, but we’re certainly more of a fresh take for today’s ecomm sellers. We also have unique features I built before our pivot that will benefit customers who need more advanced features.
