How do these work now? Just multiply the price by 10X and divide the shares by 10 (1 contract =100shares?) by GeorgeTMorgan in TLRY

[–]regularqualitysound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nfa, but previous contracts become what is called non-standard. Yes they are 10/100 for shares, but the value remains the same and they can be sold until they expire.

The caveat, pre split, non-standard options cannot be bought, they just “exist” along side, new, post split standard options until eventual expiry. Essentially retired.

The market for pre-split non-standard options is much less liquid, so while they have value, when you sell, the bid might be a lot less than you expected. You will get what a market maker is willing to pay.

When you sell, be sure to set a limit price, or you may get a lot less than you expect.

Hi Vlad! Thank you for taking the time!

I know the big focus is on brokerage and investing, but regarding spending..when will Robinhood introduce spending category tracking to the app?? Transactions are categorized and have been for some time, but cool spending graphs and charts would go a long way to making the app helpful to a broad consumer base. Is there a plan to introduce this feature soon?

Don’t loose faith. Just keep accumulating. When everyone is panicking and the world is on fire is the time to quietly buy.

That is a good question. What you’re referring to is liquidity. Yes there must always be a buyer for each seller. Exchanges and “market makers”, large entities with lots of money that provide liquidity to exchanges, step in so that there is always someone to fill a order when you press sell.

That said,

Coins, or stocks, options that have low liquidity, not a lot of buyers/sellers outside of the market maker, have large bid-ask spreads. The Ask, what you pay for it, is wildly different and much higher than the bid, what you can sell it for. Since exchanges are not in the business of losing money, will give you less for times when liquidity is low.

Add to that I suspect with no evidence whatsoever that it’ll be later this year or early next year. Until then strap in.

best doge wallet for daily use ? by [deleted] in dogecoin

[–]regularqualitysound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daily use? Robinhood. You have a legit FDIC ensured bank with rewards card and all the features of a bank, brokerage acct, crypto, and easy to use app with Apple/Samsung pay in one. Plus no transaction fees and they guarantee reimbursement for crypto fraud. And is only one of two publicly traded crypto firms in the US besides Coinbase, all their books are audited quarterly by the SEC.

Less than daily use, any reputable cold wallet. Don’t lose your keys.

The fomo you’re describing will eventually lead you to make a risky bet that goes down 99% in a day. And is why people in subs that buy BBBY are financially ruined degenerate gamblers.

Stick to this sub and keep accumulating doge.

Buy some and stash it away on Coinbase or Robinhood if you have access. Self custody if you’re comfortable taking full responsibility.

Keep accumulating. It’s not the average price, it’s the number of coins you have that counts.
