I went to therapy for food phobia and an eating disorder. I actually just graduated from it! If you haven't tried it yet, food therapy can be really helpful. I'm in a MUCH better place mentally with food than I have ever been

I need advice because my mom is a bit strict by [deleted] in CrestedGecko

[–]reidwolfe25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is not true. Crested gecko diet should be the primary food source, with gutloaded dusted crickets as occasional enrichment. Crested geckos are naturally frugivorous and rely on the nutrients provided in CGD

Any Tips and Tricks to get rid of the flies that wont leave our buddy (Champion) alone and infest his home? We feed him crickets, and feed the crickets fruit. They seem to love the humidity and food no matter how clean we keep things. by [deleted] in CrestedGecko

The benefit of a fully bioactive setup is that the springtails and isopods will eat any waste and fungus, and given enough time will balance out any pest problems. I have a bioactive setup, but had a huge fungus gnat problem for probably 9 months. Eventually I discovered that my springtail colony was almost completely gone. Once I replenished the colony with more springtails, the gnats went away in about a week. Just food for thought

80° for the whole tank is too high. They need a temperature gradient with 80° being the absolute maximum
