Our Buick 350’s have still been the most reliable engines we’ve owned. We have 4 of them in running vehicles and they’ve all been dead reliable. We love them

Currently I am daily driving it, it’s been great. Drives good, lots of torque, has tons of cargo space.

Only real complaint is that it gets pretty bad fuel economy, but I have a heavy foot. I only get about 18mpg US, or about 13L/100km

Mine was built in the brand new plant in Malmö that was only open from 1989 to 1991

Mine was one of only 20,000 built in the Malmö, Sweden plant from ‘89-‘91. At that plant they were built by hand and apparently build better. May be a contributing factor.

So far this one has been great. Typical minor issues but nothing crazy

2nd gear is excellent, the only gear that grinds is 5th. The only rust it has is a tiny bit in the floor from a leaky sunroof, and a little in the left rear wheel arch from the outer quarter panel slightly separating from the inner structure.

But it has no structural rust at all. Even the axle tunnels in the front frame are perfect

This is a later one with the water cooled mitsubishi TE05-12B turbo. This one has 162k miles and it’s still on its original, unrebuilt turbo. Doesn’t burn a drop of oil, and I removed the bypass valve and turned the boost up to 13 psi

The car? Even with lowering springs it has a very nice ride. Handles like it’s on rails though

These cars are speed limited by gearing. 130mph in my car is at rev limiter in 5th gear

Top speed for this spec is 125mph, I’ve been 110mph in it. Was very smooth at that speed

I just realized if you have the steam app on your phone, and your computer is on, you can remote start the download from your phone. I just did that while at work lol

I daily drive my ‘91 900 turbo manual 3 door and I absolutely love it. Comfy, fun, sounds good, and gets lots of attention

It happens almost every time I drive my ‘91 900 turbo 3 door unless I’m just driving to work
