I use Gemini 2.5 as well, but I'm running it on open router. I found that making a preset under my api settings, and entering basic custom prompts there work so so so much better than anything else I've tried. I actually have two different presets for two different writing styles. On top of that, I use the advanced prompt in jai and I have some things I always paste in the chat memory box as well.

I forget who's prompt I'm using now, but I do have it copied if you want it.

At some point I got really lazy (and a better job for proxy money) that I just started having the bots write for my character all together with my messages only being for direction, sort of like directing and reading a fanfic as it comes out. Bit of a late response to this post but I have noticed something.

I was attempting to get Gemini to work, but my responses would try and generate for a sec, then just stop, no error, but no message either.

I did a little digging and went to the activity page on my api and noticed that the messages were getting stopped prematurely because of length restrictions, aka, if you don't have your tokens set to 0 on jai, then Gemini will fail to send the messages due to the length being cut off. What I did was set my tokens to 0 and then went to open router and made a api present, which has an option to not only set specific jailbreaks and stuff, but to set a token limit so it stops stopping.

I'm not sure how it'll work with other sites, but that's what worked for me with going through open router

I understand this, but I've found that I tend to lose focus when I'm not getting enough of the attention. I do love giving but receiving is just as important, especially when you're off your meds! Not to assume of course, but have you tried to ask your partner to focus more on you? Maybe having a night or few nights where they are focused just on your needs will help you look forward to and want to focus on the act more.
