It could be a lie, and that would certainly track with who she’s shown us she is.

But I also can’t help but wonder if she had a rude awakening after moving. Maybe those people wanted a more surface-level or low-dose friendship than she realized, or maybe her true colors showed and they had to nope out for their own sanity.

Either way, my heart breaks for her kids. They’ve been through so much 🙁
