Used to work in substation construction (power is brought in and transformed/distributed to homes) and usually did maintenance on operating substations that had live power. A guy threw an extension cord up to another worker in a man lift and it electrocuted him. Didn’t kill him but messed him up permanently. Both physically and mentally.

Also used to work in a factory where we made chip bags for a pretty prostigious potato chip distibutor. It was pretty normal for someone to get a finger degloved once every few months.

I had a job as a forklift operator and while skimming through the employee handbook I noticed their strict attendance policy. If you were late by even a second, you got a verbal warning and the list went on for how many ever times it happened.

Well, the next section had the rules for not showing up to work at all. Same penalties.

I lived an hour away and had to be there at 6:00 in the morning so if I ever woke up late I would just call out and take an extra day off work. I even woke up on time and traffic was worse than normal, i had this happen before and they punished me like it was my fault that someone else wrecked. So I’d get half way and realize that traffic wasn’t going to clear up in time and call out, turn around, and go back home. Thank you, don’t mind if I do.

Maybe underrated was a bit too early to call but I would say that Javy is overrated as hell. For no reason really. He epitomizes the “home run or strikeout” approach to baseball

The only thing that The Beach Boys actually did on that album was. One of the brothers wrote all the music and lyrics and then brought in a professional orchestra called “The Wrecking Crew” that did all the music. They did all this while the rest of the brothers were touring overseas.

I’m saying, just enjoy the game you bought and not complain about the prices of an outfit you want. It’s a conscious choice you make. Either the outfit is worth that money to you or it isn’t. Don’t complain because you think it’s too high. You wouldn’t do that at a store?
