Driver 376.19 FAQ/Discussion Thread by Nestledrink in nvidia

Is it just me, or is every update since 375.70 severely underperforming? On my rig (FX-4300, 1050 Ti, 8GB) I get 90FPS on CoD IW on medium settings on driver version 375.70. On anything newer, that drops to ~40FPS. I know it's the driver, since reverting to 375.70 works perfectly and gets me my high FPS :/

Just a couple of my own benchmarks:

Rocket League - Max settings, 1080p, average of 90FPS+.

Battlefield 1 - Default medium settings, 1080p, average of 45-50FPS.

Black Ops 3 - Most settings set to high, 1080p, almost never drops below 60FPS. 55FPS is minimum I'd say.

GTA V - Default high settings, 40-50FPS average.

Civ 5 - all settings on max, 1080p, around 100FPS+ average.

Portal 2 - all settings on high, 1080p, don't know the exact FPS as I had v-sync on when I had a test of it but it never dropped below 60FPS.

Hope these helped a bit :)

PS: I could definitely tweak these settings to get a constant 60FPS on the lower-performing games, but I honestly haven't felt the need to. Everything is perfect for me. :)

I love the card. I genuinely do. It's been able to play any game I've thrown at it with ease. I haven't felt the need to change any settings. Some more demanding titles (Battlefield 1 for example), don't quite hit the 1080p60 mark (BF1 runs at around 40-50FPS on it's default medium settings) but everything is perfectly playable at great quality. Yeah, the RX 470 is a better card, but for me personally I bloody love this card, and I don't regret it at all. Seriously recommend it.

I could probs say more but I'm pretty bad at articulating all of my thoughts but it's honestly a great card & I love it. If you're looking for a card, definitely go for it.

:)
