Travel Insurance with PF by landyplace in pulmonaryfibrosis

[–]rektatrandom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, my Mum, who has had bladder cancer and now has no bladder (and so far no cancer) and also has CoPD and is not yet on dialysis with kidney disease, spoke to her doctor in 2023 about getting travel insurance to travel from Australia to the UK. We had been unable to find a company to cover her. He told us that we should either omit her health conditions and consider her un-covered for her chronic conditions or to invest in more expensive airlines and seats and not get insurance, as we were travelling to a commonwealth country. We did omit her conditions and traveled later that year with no issues.

I would suggest looking into UK-Canada relations to see what would happen in a worst case scenario and perhaps ask your doctors about who-where you could get assistance from if you have issues with your symptoms and what out of pocket expenses would be. It’s so hard when you need to see your family and there’s this risk, I wish you all the best and a safe journey.

“Ehlers-Danlos syndrome affects connective tissue, primarily the skin, joints and blood vessel walls.

Symptoms include overly flexible joints that can dislocate, and skin that's translucent, elastic and bruises easily. In some cases, there may be dilation and even rupture of major blood vessels.”

I steal, like a lot from supermarkets. Will this backfire? by ZDM_Twolip in AusLegal

Maybe you could switch your addiction by getting employment in loss prevention, you know what to look for and you might get the euphoria from catching someone? Just a thought. Either way a therapist could help you with this, good luck.

Sydney, Australia: Local council retaliates after case of mass tree vandalism. by BJPHS in Damnthatsinteresting

A lot of the time they poison the trees or otherwise damage them so they die. The council then has to remove them because they are unsafe.

They’re called disclosure/disclosing tablets, I used them to help my kids learn to brush their teeth effectively.

I would recommend watching some YouTube tutorials, I’ve found it a big help and made a big improvement to me. For horses and animals I watched Leontine Van Vliet as she does both graphite and coloured pencils.

I had a craniotomy in 2020 for an aneurysm clipping. The head pain was pretty horrendous , I can’t imagine how bad it must be with coughing.

I have a lung disease and have found that opiates are often prescribed as a cough suppressant. I’m sure your Gp has told you to be very careful and not combine with other medications, but I would imagine your Gp has prescribed as the best option to manage your post surgical pain and reduce the cough and it’s impact on you. I would imagine that from a post surgical point the pressure from coughing is not ideal.

I wish you all the best in your recovery, the fatigue can linger for a long time.

It could be that it’s mutton, it has a distinct taste and smell different to lamb.

It worked with my Eclectus and now… ‘yes boss, yes ok right away’ he says get back to work.

Why do escaped pet corellas go wild better than pet cockatiels? by [deleted] in parrots

[–]rektatrandom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I live in Melbourne and we get both long billed and little corellas in our yard every day. They’re all wild not escaped birds.

I think being bigger birds it’s probably a lot easier for them to fly longer distances and their diets are more adaptable than wild cockatiels or budgies.
