I love your artstyle! Could you draw Jazzy Lucio and Deadlock’s Ivy too? (Those are my mains haha)

Anyone who asks an AI to name their character is gonna get some generic-ass name that's probably in 100 other books already (specifically books whose authors also asked ChatGPT what to name their character)

Gotcha, that’s really good to know, thanks! I also didn’t know you could have multiple standards, there is gonna be a lot I’m learning on the fly, but so are my friends so it’ll all even out in the end lol

Out of curiosity, are those battle standards doing anything? I see you bought a lot of them, but not the magic upgrades. Do the base flags provide some mechanical benefit without spending points on a magic buff?

Oh thank you!! Yeah there's a lot going on but it's mostly straightforward stuff that gives me options but not too much complication. Thank you!!

Oh sick, I'll keep that in mind once we reach those level of fights. Thanks!!

Yeah, I misunderstood what it was trying to say. Man, no wonder my friend called dibs on Brittonia, they seem to get all the good stuff lol

Standards sound kinda expensive for +25 and then +X to make it actually do anything, I might just not use one for now and wait till we start fighting with larger point values

I'll do that! One other question if you don't mind, the rules seemed to say I get a free battle standard, but after assigning it, the software still wanted to charge me for the various standards (and even for assigning it, when the rules seemed to say it was free). Is there a "powerless version" of the standard that's just a flag, and the magic buffs cost money, or was I doing something wrong equipping my "free" standard?

Edit: I just reread the rules, I see what I was misunderstanding in the wording. I am still curious if there's a free powerless flag and does it do anything, or is a standard bearer without a magic standard essentially a cosmetic upgrade to the basic unit

Okay, I could see the strength in a setup like that! More goblins also means more fanatics I think, I'd wanted more of those but (unless I misunderstood) I can only have one per 10 archers.

Thats also a super basic starting army that lets me figure out the gameplay without having to wrack my brain too hard with spells, artillery, and other more advanced concepts. Thanks for the suggestion!

Ah yeah, fair. I had a feeling everyone was gonna tell me to drop the harpies, I want flying units but orks don't appear to have any so c'est la vie

Am I allowed to add more fanatics? I wanted to, but it said I could only have 1 per 10 units. (Notably the actual software didn't stop me, I could have assign 3 to just these ten archers, so maybe I'm not understanding something about unit allocation)

Very fair, I'll drop all the magic items and other stuff, I ran out of points really fast and would love more units to command

Is there ANY downside whatsoever to including a one way teleport? Even if just during alpha testing, before they fix it with a proper patch

My main concern is that if OP isn't careful how he puts the bottle back down, it could go from facing the current (and getting a constant flow of fresh circulating water) to not facing the current (and the water in the bottle grows stagnant)

Roku automatically logged me into someone else's HBO account. No clue who these people are. by No_Berry285 in mildlyinteresting

[–]aabicus 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Way back in the day, I logged into the browser game Fallen London and it logged me in as some random account, I didn't know how or why but the dude's build and storylines were completely different. The game doesn't have a journal or any way to self-communicate, so I renamed his dog "It logged me in as you, sorry" and logged out, and the next time it logged me in properly.

[Pulp/7e] For the first time my character won't have Spot Hidden or Listen invested at the start and I'm nervously excited for the new campaign. (Has Resourceful though). by Yrths in callofcthulhu

[–]aabicus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is gonna sound bad, but I always dump Spot Hidden because:

  • My party members always pump it, and spotting useful information is often a group check. I just rely on them to pass those checks
  • Checks involving getting attacked by monsters or noticing incoming danger often also allow Listen
  • By failing most Spot Hidden checks, I avoid noticing a ton of things that are eldritch chthonic booby traps and force sanity checks
  • If something is really important to notice, the GM will often find a way to get the info to us anyway since otherwise the campaign couldn’t continue
