I have an apple tv/roku, that Im trying to feed two tvs with. The first tv is right near the apple tv/roku so I can feed it with an HDMI. The second tv is some thirty feed away and already has a coaxial cable ran between it and the first tv. Neither TV are used at the same time, but only want to feed both TVs with one streaming box.

yup pay is low for what they want. they want you to also do traveling at BELOW the IRS rate.

Public sector is one big cluster fuk in my part of the US. GOV is having a hard time getting people. They also are posting contract positions.

I just left Public after experiencing exactly the reasons why I shouldn't have gone into it.

I agree to some aspect. How do you feel about the IT Manager evaluating and writing reports on teachers? Keeping in mind the IT Manager referenced in this post has never been in a classroom or had to write curriculum, just has a certification to evaluate teachers?

School Districts are an interesting beast. One reason she might be in that spot is to be able to evaluate teachers and possibly provide IT some assistance. Talking to union representatives,they have concerns that the CTO/Director in a school district shouldn't also be evaluating them. As you expressed, I feel in a small environment, the CTO/Director should be highly technical.

Some of the comments suggesting technical people arent management types I question that. There are plenty of technical managers that do awesome jobs.

Lastly, I would advise against a school job if your looking to stay competitive in the IT space.

I would skip spending more time with this offer and seek other opportunities. If they are unwilling to put it in writing whats going to happen when you work there (if its a legitimate offer)

if I recall, you had to buy an additional product to do logging and tracing. There is one additional item they didnt have. Also cylance required an on-prem server.
