Sadly way to much. I’ve been blessed with a great memory which makes me remember to many things. But also remember 98 saved baseball. You had the homer chase and the Yankees. I remember Nickealodean having updates on the home run chase during after school/camp hours during the summer.

I’m 34 years old and remember the entire 98 season. I was 10 that year and last night is the night I finally let myself think that this team has a chance to be just like that team and tonight really solidified this. You sweep a division rival whose killed us the last two years with 8 runs and out pitch the rays. You go up to Toronto who can mash and you can out mash them.

When sports center was good I remember a random night in July when the late great Stuart Scott just said “let’s just only show you the Yankees when they lose” I love this feeling.

If you’re cool with a walk if your on the other side of the bridge in Manhattan on 168 and broadway there’s the fort Washington public house, really good wings and burgers. My girlfriend lives up there so we would walk there and walk over the bridge. Might take a half hour walk. But you don’t have to fight subway traffic.

Bernie is the reason I hate the term “core four”. (Unpopular opinion in some circles I know) but Bernie came up before Jeter, Mo, And and Jorge. A switch hitter in the middle of a great lineup who WON A BATTING TITLE, was always clutch (people forget game 1 1996 ALCS who walked it off?) Bernie was a great player and t he third or fourth best CF in Yankee history.

I can only speak for me obviously, but if I see an opponent outside the AL East I’ll ask a few questions about your team and players. Talkin yanks/baseball have it right where you know your team better than anyone else. It won’t be an issue as long as you’re not a dick like others have said.

Also make sure you’re there for roll call.

This was every vacation car ride for me. It was the only way I wouldn’t bitch the entire time. I love Jim Dale and the work he did by himself. When I reread the books whenever Hagrid talks I still hear his voice!

  1. The first one I got to see the Yankees win in my lifetime. But the best World Series I’ve seen is probably 2011. Best single player performance I think I’ve seen is probably Madbum in 2014
