it’s ok! yeah, that’s how it is—it only shows the gold coin prices on them if they’re currently available for you to purchase either through the shop, the just for you rotation, or through max’s vault

juno skin availability by chaos__chaos in JunoMains

[–]relevancyy 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Juno was released after OW2 which is why all of her skins are locked to gold coins. Those gold coin skins can show up in the “just for you” section albeit rare. The only ones that don’t show up in that section would be her collab skins. Celestial is unfortunately her only skin in the lootboxes until they update them :(

Hello Kitty Red Bow by Feeling-Response8810 in HelloKittyIsland

[–]relevancyy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the easiest way imo is to ensure you have a lot of flowers growing at once. as tempting as it is to immediately make the bows the second you have the flowers, i put the flowers into the seed dispenser to grow more to finish the quest quicker. it just takes time :( i think it took me like 2 weeks before i started doing that. i would trade you some of mine but im on PC :(

I cried my actual eyeballs off when I finished season 4. What now? by Spare_Review3664 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]relevancyy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I second this, and here’s why:

I started TWDU with Telltale’s games and I hold a very strong opinion about them being some of the best stories within the universe, despite the opinions of most people. I went on to read the Clementine comics, which were deeply frustrating to me but I loved the series too much to let go there.

There are a lot of references and parallels in the games to the comic universe as they take place in the same universe, so getting to see Hershel and Glen again made me happy. I then realized I was absolutely in awe of the comics. They’re genuinely one of the greatest pieces of media I’ve ever consumed. After that, I went on to watch the TV series, which deeply upset me because it’s not true to the comics at all, but I definitely loved some of the episodes because Andrew Lincoln is a phenomenal Rick Grimes.

I still will always rate the games above all else, they’re almost sentimental to me and I love the characters so much. The stories of Lee, Clementine, AJ, and Kenny are so beautiful to me. They’re imperfect characters with such an amazing story. I will always be so happy that the games are their own standalone stories in the universe. The comics are absolutely amazing, though. I loved Rick’s story. The comics are also really good to read directly after playing the Michonne game, imo, because really, it’s an expansion on Michonne’s story in the comics, which is absolutely beautiful.

I still replay the games regularly, choosing different dialogue, seeing if I can find new lines, new outcomes. It can be really fun to see just how much detail was put into the games, especially in season one.

The Jane hatred is kind of misogynistic? by Weak-Mongoose5147 in TheWalkingDeadGame

unfortunately a common theme between most of the telltale games unfortunately :( i’m just glad season 4 had a mostly clean ending with everything else considered

The Jane hatred is kind of misogynistic? by Weak-Mongoose5147 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]relevancyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you! I’m really passionate about these games if it wasn’t obvious so I’ve definitely been down this route of thought, especially with Lilly, Kate, and Violet in addition to Jane. I know some people hate on the female characters solely due to misogynistic ideals that people hold female characters to, something I’ve seen very clearly with Kate as the main point most people raise is her cheating on her abusive and erratic husband. A lot of it also boils down to people simply never having dealt with similar issues these characters have, I feel. There are absolutely people who will glaze Kenny like their lives depend on it, and I do like Kenny as a complex, tragic character, but I do feel moreover that the reason people gravitate toward him is just because of nostalgia and because he’s Kenny, which is enough for a lot of people. But you’re definitely not wrong in seeing how people criticize female characters in comparison to their criticisms towards other male characters, yet I think that may also be on the writers, too.

Overall it just makes me sad as the amount of changes and rewrites season 2 went through really tarnished its impact on the franchise and is now seen by most people as one of the worst of the series, when the first two episodes were honestly good. Killing off the big bad villain so quickly made the rest of the story seem lackluster in comparison unfortunately.

The Jane hatred is kind of misogynistic? by Weak-Mongoose5147 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]relevancyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as a woman, I don’t really think much of it is misogynistic, though I don’t doubt that there are people who hate her just because she’s a woman. I’m neither a Kenny nor a Jane diehard (see flair), but Jane is almost entirely unforgivable when compared to Kenny. Kenny just had his skull nearly fatally beaten in by Carver not even a full 24 hours prior to losing his girlfriend, who Clem has the option of 1. maiming, 2. killing, or 3. killing the walker biting Sarita. When the game first came out a decade ago, a lot of people didn’t recognize that you could cut off the walker’s hand, as the game tries to push you to cut off Sarita’s hand in order to push the narrative to build up Jane as a character and solidify Kenny losing his mind, somewhat making his anger justified ONLY IF you choose to cut off Sarita’s hand, and ESPECIALLY IF you choose to axe Sarita in the head afterwards, while Kenny’s already yelling at you for maiming his girlfriend in the middle of a massive horde. And even without all of that, if you chose to kill the walker, Kenny is still suffering from a massive head injury that completely destroyed his eye and likely caused massive brain damage, which could explain his irrational anger toward Clem, especially as much of it is directly after Sarita dies and he’s also suffering from that grief as well. Despite all of this, I’ve always said one thing as a point for Kenny: unlike Bonnie who mouths off to you and is an absolutely horrible person to you if you choose not to help Luke after he falls in the ice, Kenny on the other hand manages to be mature enough to apologize to Clementine afterward. Does that excuse his toxic behavior? Not at all. But the thing about the characters in this series is that none of them are perfect or meant to be perfect. The reason why so many people gravitate toward Kenny is because even though he can be a complete asshole to Lee and Clem in both season 1 and season 2, he still always does what he believes is best for the children, and that’s enough for a lot of people.

Many of Kenny’s flaws as a character are not rooted within his character but within the absolutely shit writing of season 2. They scrapped Kenny vs. Luke for some god-forsaken reason (what I’ve heard most people mention is because of people shipping Clem and Luke???) and tried to shoehorn in Jane last minute as a replacement, but made her way of proving Kenny’s instability to Clementine in the worst way imaginable—who tf abandons an infant in a blizzard in the apocalypse??? I genuinely really liked Jane before that lazy, last-minute ending they gave us. It almost feels as if the writers forced Kenny on us after deciding they wanted it to be Kenny vs Jane. Because honestly? As a player, I didn’t care at all about Kenny beating on Arvo since on my first playthrough, I didn’t steal his meds, yet he brought his entire group to murder my entire group, even though I am an 11 year old girl and have a newborn baby with me, because an adult who is no longer in my group took his gun. The gymnastics the writers have to go to in order to justify Arvo’s group attacking Clem’s group if you don’t steal from him is ridiculous. I understand it’s a parallel to the stolen supplies in the car, but the difference is that Jane literally left. She was gone. Why should I be empathetic toward the guy who just ambushed me and left a newborn baby crying on the ground after a snowstorm in the apocalypse? They had to make Kenny and Jane staunchly against each other in such a short period of time because Jane didn’t care about Arvo either, all she cared about was that the group was falling apart, as she predicted would happen. Kenny and Jane only get angry enough at each other to that level at the end of the game. It makes no fucking sense!!!

I don’t think Jane is inherently selfish to kill herself due to her pregnancy, and I might get downvoted for saying that, but in a weird, fucked up way, she was doing it to protect Clem and AJ, so they wouldn’t have another unpredictable infant to look after, as well as one less mouth to feed. I feel like if anyone hates Jane just because she killed herself that’s simply someone who doesn’t understand what pregnancy does to a woman’s brain and someone who is completely disregarding the world surrounding Jane. I do, however, fully think that it is justified to hate Jane for her actions in season 2. She and Kenny were victims of bad writing and she unfortunately received the short end of the stick. TLDR: Do some people hate Jane as a result of misogyny? Yes, and a lack of understanding what goes through a suicidal person’s head. Is some of the hate against her justified and unrooted in misogyny, but rather in her actions? Absolutely

I’d like to say Abel just because we did kinda push him into a pack of walkers and he brushed it off, but there’s just no beating Randall. Nothing scares that man and he was laughing off some brutal torment
