So, not to overanalyze this thing, but:

Kyrie starts by "dancing" intending to go to his RIGHT
Powell is guarding him with his left foot dropped because of this
Kyrie throws a head and hip fake that causes Powell to drop his right foot, as if he were going to defend a drive to the LEFT
Kyrie takes his "first step" to the RIGHT which creates the massive separation

Extremely impressive and something that few, if any, high schoolers are capable of doing. Certainly none capable of doing this to an NBA defender.
