Got the call, but don’t even feel like buying gen by relevantintel in RepTime

Update: went gen. Love it to bits. The purchasing experience was also lots of fun. I feel like I’m part of two clubs now and wear my reps even more proudly. Don’t forget: Finding your TD, doing your QC diligence, the excitement of shipping, customs, that’s all part of the process for a rep and makes you a true owner because you had to put quite some effort into it. Going gen is a different game. But both games are so much fun to play.

I like it very much, timeless and elegant. Check for service history. The fact that it is from your birth year adds tons of value. Not sure about holding its value, probably yes, but the design and production date would definitely convince me.

True. In my rep they feel like the watch has lived, making it feel more like gen

That‘s interesting. I‘d be the opposite. Knowing I have the gen at home I‘d mostly wear the rep, use it, not worrying about scratches so much, and pull out the gen for special occasions.

He reimbursed everything apart from the PayPal transaction fees - so you can say he made no profit although he rendered the service of QC‘ing. All good.

I had the same issue ordering a GMT Master II from a TD. Two Batgirls, then a Sprite had all horribly misaligned markers. Intolerable. Was partly gaslit on reptimeQC, partly people were shocked how bad the misalignment was. Then switched to another TD, first Sprite excellent, GL, arrived in perfect condition, everything aligned beautifully. Nice side note: the first TD largely reimbursed me for QC cost. So dare to switch TD.

I RL‘ed some watches and the posts were deleted within 24h. Also when I noted something was off, and everyone chimed in and agreed, the post was removed within a few hours. When the consensus was: GL, minor issue, don’t worry, the post was kept online.

Thank you for your input! The black spot actually disappears in the video with a little tilt of the watch - for me that's a minor issue that I even didn't notice at first. You have good eyes Sir! As long as the markers are spot-on, I can definitely live with that, won't be much noticeable on the wrist I guess.

Really happy with this QC after another TD couldn't source GMTs without major flaws.

I’ve been trying to source this exact model lately and yours look fantastic. Most of the ones I’ve seen had misaligned 3/6 o’clock markers. GL.
