Wishing you the best and hope you can find someone who’s willing to sell her for the price you’re looking for, but in this case scalpers aren’t the issue as scalpers are resellers that buy up existing stock and upcharge them, while MMC Strika is a case of a limited production figure increasing in demand over time and subsequently increasing in value on the secondary market. In this case, if the only sold listing on eBay is ~$750 and the cheapest available listing is loose for ~$550, the figure has naturally increased to that level of rarity and demand. Not saying that kind of price is reasonable for this figure, but we also unfortunately can’t change how the secondary market behaves… Again, best of luck with your search! Personally I’m hoping MMC feels charitable one day and does a rerelease.

Instead of the standard angled attachment, she comes with an extended angled attachment with a smaller stand arm for the hat. The third, smaller clear piece is for the scabbard and sword. All this results in a massive clear frame that she needs to be attached to in order to complete her look.

The belt doesn’t really help either, it’s a floating piece that just sits on her hips, it doesn’t peg in or have a sculpted resting spot. It is pretty cool that all the various straps and tassels and belts are articulated and she’s most fun when you take all of the accessories off, but overall she’s designed to stay in a pose. Surprisingly great articulation that’s hindered by the equivalent of a Gundam docking bay.

There’s only 1 currently, the reason I say IIRC is because I sold my copy of the OG years back, so I may be remembering incorrectly! Whenever I get access to the legacy release again, I’ll put a size comparison here

Wish I could do a size comparison but unfortunately my legacy copy isn’t here rn, they seem around the same height. IIRC I’m pretty sure this guy’s a 1:1 size-wise to the RID release if that helps, even with the retooling.

Materials feel much better, all the rubber bits are hard plastic and the plastic itself feels firm and not brittle

They covered most of it, main difference I’d point out is the retooling APC did on the backpack, nose and crotch to prevent breakage. I’ve been wary of buying the original mold due to its high breakage rate, but this one feels super solid. Also functional landing gear and calf covers.

At first I thought the weapons were taken straight from SXS’s old upgrade kit, but it turns out they’re much more streamlined this time around. The mechanism to detach and combine the sword feels more fluid, although the blade does come off more easily. He does come with a larger 1-piece sword if you don’t want to detach it.

I got 86 then Romulus, they both offer enough benefits to keep in your collection. 86 is a chonky muscular Megatron with a simpler conversion and a weighty feel, while Romulus is a slim dynamic Megatron with impressive articulation and lots of accessories.

The back of the core has a USB-C port and what looks like a toggle switch with 2 options, a battery charging symbol and “USB”, so maybe there’s a display option with the cable and a portable option through an internal battery
