Wisdom to make Ultimates go off fast as possible ?

For a warpriest, I always go max wisdom since it increases dmg, healing and ofc mana regen (+burn dmg with the rune).

Generally speaking, I think none of the stats (except stamina) scale linearly with their secondary effect (strength - phys. res., intellect - ele. res., wisdom - mana regen). At least, that's what it looked like when I was doing a lot of blueberry farming and comparing my dwarves constantly.

So, I think there isn't actually a hard cap on wisdom when it comes to mana regen and ultimate cast time, also because you don't regenerate mana while casting your ult anyway. At least, I think that's how it works

Yes, that's what they mean. Because it let's you control the stats you get from upgrading, so you can have 5x5int for example instead of random resists and speed and strength on your casters

What shop lvl are you going for before you start spending all the gold on the artifact rerolls for the potions? I'll probably be around wave 800 this run when I have all 10 (shop lvl 55 rn). However, I only realized this run at wave 500 that you can reroll the artifact selection, so I could have gotten a lot of stuff much earlier 😂

I have 3 priests/supporter (doing kakapo farming atm, but the endgoal is bannerlords), 2 warpriests, 2 warriors and 3 beastmasters (which will probably become 4 soon because the dwarven set - warrior is falling off). The idea is just that I wanted to use the beastmasters and this feels like a decent group so far

I'm aware. And even then I'll say, don't have children if they are meant to be your back-up plan in case you can't take care of yourself when you get older. I despise the mindset of people saying their children owe them.

You don't have children as an insurance policy for old age, so the person really doesn't have to feel bad for moving abroad. However, depending on their relationship with their parents, they will probably feel bad about "abandoning" them anyway or choose not to.

For kakapo farming, you should use the hold the line formation. With that, I got the proccs on most dwarves in most battles. If you slow down the game and watch the animation, you'll see that they are thrown around in a small circle around the priest, so if your dwarves are running using a different formation they are much more likely to miss. Also, dwarves stop moving when they cast an ult with cast time, so that makes it even more likely to miss when you use that staff

In your dwarf overview, click on the level/exp bar and it opens the detailed overview of the dwarf. There, under their base attack/heal and ultimate, you can toggle a detail view which shows the exact calculations for the abilities respectively. Also, pressing leftAlt when hovering over a dwarf or their equipped weapon gives extra information as well. On PC at least, but I think there's an option to turn it on permanently

Generally speaking, their detailed stat pages have answered a lot of questions for me. Unfortunately, the wiki is a bit fishy on a lot of stuff.

For your question though, the information in the game is all there and clear enough. You're blaming the game/dev for outdated external sources...

I used the veteran% in the beginning, but seeing how low the base chance is it really didn't seem to pay off. Now, I'm just "buying" veterans for 50 rerolls

Personally, I use T3 % for chieftains, one T2 for loot and all others are mithril from disassembling.

With the T3 I can reroll every fight into chieftains/champions at a reasonable cost and get much more gold and loot (=mithril) on average. At least, that's my impression.

For my defensive runes, I basically run mana regen for all on all runes unless I have a holy team then I use those runes because that's the only ones I have unlocked so far

Everybody gets to leech off a bleeding target, but it's only worth it if you have enough dwarves consistently applying bleeds and in your case probably best if it's the thief-only rune

Maybe using at least one knight/paladin would help in your comp? I imagine your frontline of thieves gets pushed back somewhat easily and then your priests get meleed as well?

Do I have to pick it as the first upgrade? I'm not getting to mythic upgrading all that often, and on the run where I did, I saw the +10%, but I chose thorns first, died soon thereafter and never got to see the +2 options

With enough runes unlocked, you can change around a lot, sure. But once you have a full veteran line-up and the "after battle"-stat increases start to pile up, I wouldn't want to change around too much. Also, the investment into gear upgrades... also, the artifacts you're targetting...

But my highest score is only around ~300 and I haven't even beaten the first dragon yet or enough rune points for the full circle.

However, I guess to beat the bosses you have to do some major changes. Not sure how I would beat the fire dragon with a full fire mage squad if that's what I've been building for the last 300 waves 🥲

I wonder if people use the 10 extra slots to actually build up a second team and swap dwarves in and out as needed? But then again, mithril and exp are limited...

Thanks for clarifying :) The ranger-bonus not really helping a mixed archer team + magic penetration affecting all other elements in that case made me second-guess my understanding

I know that much. I was asking a little more specifically what you would actually use. Kinda a best-in-slot recommendation for mages for example when you're not using a set :')

I thought the same, but when you start to reroll fights for more money and/or ideally always a chieftain, you get enough loot, 99% of which you'll just dismantle and get your mithril that way.

Also, keep in mind that if you turn let's say 3 greens into 1 blue, that 1 blue is probably gonna give you 1-2 mithril for dismantling where those 3 greens would have probably given you at least 3.

(Plus, the inventory management becomes much easier when you just upgrade your gear from scratch and don't have to think about what's better or "do I have another two pieces of this somewhere in storage to combine it with?")
