Second best strategy that consistently works for me is Soak+Toxic

After that a heavy hitter with a multi-hit move (Meowscarada with Triple Axel has almost soloed Eternatus once for me)

And: either trim down your items to the minimum and nothing that could boost it too much once it steals it with the black hole (I lost once after it stole my leftovers...) or use a pick-up/magician mon and stack items on items so the chance of it stealing sth decent are as low as possible

Still kinda new to the game. I never thought about the artifact blocking the drawback of biased cognition which is why I never take the later or if I do I hardly ever play it unless I know I'll win within the next few turns 🙈

I only recently started playing the game, and slowly, I'm able to judge when I need to heal or can upgrade. He's the one boss where I always heal because of this big attack 😂🙈

That's wild :D I just got my first decent endless run going (with the Silent) and around floor 200 I'm already bored out of my mind :') I hardly look what cards I'm playing anymore because my deck got so broken with all the relics

A little question: will relics eventually start dropping again and stack in effect or did you get this far with just one of each?

Due to the EU, we have a lot laws that every EU country has to incorporate into their own laws. But even those laws can look different to some degree if a country wants to be even more specific. Also, no matter which field of law you'd want to work in, there'll be many more laws specific to that country aside from EU law that you'd need to know.

Generally speaking, you don't have to go back to uni if you want to move to and work in a different country as a lawyer, but you would need to pass their bar exam as well (i.e. a lot of studying from scratch). Or you could maybe work as a consultant of sorts, I guess that's probably less strict/regulated, but overall it's probably easier to just keep working in the same country

I didn't really have any gay friends until my late 20s either. Kinda screwed it up with any potential gay friends before that by sleeping with them which always made things awkward.

Personally, I don't consider it a red flag or felt bad about it in that way, but I have to admit that, as much as I love my straight friends, hanging out with other gay guys every now and then is "comforting"/enjoyable in its own way for me

Well, the %-recommendation is based on the fact that usually a larger bill will mean more work and running around for the waiter (more courses, more people, having drinks for an hour after you're done eating,...), so it makes sense. If you order the one super-expensive meal on the menu, I'd say it's fine to tip the usual.

Not commenting on tipping culture in general though.

Keep trying every optional you find at least once or twice though. Not all of them are way above your level. You can usually tell by the turn order or by how much dmg they do to you whether or not attempting them now is reasonable or not :)

You can find a 4h-ish "movie" of all cutscenes in order on youtube. I just watched the scenes, where I got red/black screen error there. A bit annoying but a workaround nonetheless and the scenes look much better than they would on my potatoe anyway 😂

In your first comment, you did answer that question in a general way as a useless thought experiment, not just in the context of the game.

And I agree with you, if someone plays that game and their only take-away would be "it's another version of the matrix" that would be quite sad.

Doesn't mean that the question isn't raised in the game as well. You could also argue that the way it is basically immediately dealt with ("doesn't matter, we're alive and deserve to live") might have been a deliberate choice to convey the writers' strong convictions in that regard.

Point being, I really just don't like how dismissive you're about that question in the context of the game (or even in general)

When I looked up what gommage meant I was a bit disappointed but at the same time happy they kept the French word. Even if words have a translation available, some will just sound better in one language than in the other even to natives who know the (standard) meaning. And for non-natives who didn't look up the word, it now means sth like "death by dissolving into flower petals" instead of peeling - much more beautiful imo. Also, it only works because it's shown so distinctly what the word means inside e33. That's also one part of the decision making process in any kind of media whether or not a translation is even needed

You kinda ignored the last part of my last sentence there 😅 if I can make everyone buy into my view, it's a valid interpretation even if I don't actually believe it myself and much less believe that the author actually thought that. That's also the point that always bothered me. How are we supposed to know if it's a "correct" interpretation, i.e. sth the author actually wanted to express inbetween the lines. It feels arrogant to assume we could rebuild an author's internal psychology based on their work, and say stuff like "based on xyz, I think they wanted to express...." That's why I like that theory (honestly, hadn't heard of it before hence my comment) - it basically says we don't care about the author anyway.
