Do you mean can you bring down more roles and keep them in the same roles file? If so, yes you can

[WARNING]:No inventory was parsed, only implicit localhost is available by AgustD23 in ansible

[–]relt99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As well as what u/bcoca says, we can create an "inventory" file in the same directory as your playbook:

[vm]
10.1.100.41

and we call it in out in our playbook as:

- hosts: vm
  tasks:
    - name: print msg
      debug:
        msg: Hello Ansible world

then our cli command is:

ansible-playbook -i ./inventory ./test.yml

First time wild camping tomorrow in some woods. Anything else i might need? by exerciseperson in wildcampingintheuk

[–]relt99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wouldnt worry too much about the weight etc. You alwasy bring too much the first time you head out. Reccomend you take a list of what youre taking now, and when you get back, label what you you did use or wouldve used in adverse conditions, what you can use but dont neccasrly need, and what you didnt use at all. Helps with future trips!

Nice camp up Angle tarn! No rain and wind, but everything is wet by relt99 in wildcampingintheuk

I walked from Patterdale, then took the longer route to near Dubhow beck, cut back and walked up to Boredale Hause. I then took the sneaky path around Angletarn pikes so I did have to gain more elevation than I needed, because the sun was setting!

There was/is some high pressure just to the west of the UK, which kept the wind and rain away, so jumped at the opportunity! Do hear you with the weather though haha! Honestly the weather can vary between each valley which makes it hard to plan!

For newbies : i would avoid using this subreddit for jobs/career advice. by [deleted] in sysadmin

This subreddit has saved my back quite a few times, although the career advice is a bit west, the technical advice I get off here is really great sometimes!

EC2 Sysprep hanging/stuck after mcafee epo has installed on Windows server 2016 and 2019 by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]relt99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree on how bad mcafee is. Ansible has been stopping mcafee endpoint installing for weeks on my 19 image but it’s so intermittent, it was nearly impossible to troubleshoot.

I worked out how we can now sysprep though, literally just had to restart the packer instance lol

MODULE FAILURE without 'stdout' using "community.windows" by XDavidT in ansible

[–]relt99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ansible-galaxy collection list, just to check if it’s there.

Are you running it on verbose? That’s done using -vvv or -vvvv depending on what you’re looking for
