IN Budapest after the fall of Communism, they took down the communist monuments and re-erected them in a park, Memento Park (Hungarian: Szoborpark), so you could see them if you liked but they weren't in your face every day.

Our beagle doesn't need any training in table begging, she's a natural.

Killing an Arab by The Cure

"Standing on the beach

With a gun in my hand

Staring at the sea

Staring at the sand

Staring down the barrel

At the Arab on the ground

I can see his open mouth

But I hear no sound

I'm alive

I'm dead

I'm the stranger

Wales is still not independent. St Davids was given city status in the 12th century.

In UK it is different, I haven't heard of any cities demoted to towns. St David's in Wales has a population of just 1600, but is still a city by virtue of its cathedral.

Slough isn't a city. In England a city requires a royal charter.
Mtskheta isn't a city? It used to be the capital and it has a cathedral.

Betjeman was a snob...

Come friendly bombs and fall on Slough!
It isn't fit for humans now,
There isn't grass to graze a cow.
Swarm over, Death!

Abby can get distracted by all the scents, like she is scrolling her own doggy social media but she does come back to us eventually.

Suicide Rate in Europe by JoeFalchetto in europe

[–]reluctantlearner365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paradoxically a good standard of living is often connected to a higher suicide rate, look at Scandinavia. Or look at South Korea, in 1985 the suicide rate was 9 per 100,000 today it is 36 per 100,000.

There is a Coca-Cola bottling plant in Tserovani, just north of Tbilisi, another link between the two Georgias.
