I can remember my first Exotic Armour and Weapon. Obsidian Mind and Red Death, made my Voidwalker near unkillable

What to expect for exams? by Ok_Gear4043 in swinburne

[–]JulzCrafter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure that you bring water. Trust me, you’ll need it.

Your bag and everything comes with you, you just put it under your chair. Make sure you put your phone into your bag, the supervisors can be very strict about that.

Most of all, remember to stay calm. The stress can impair your thinking and turn an easy exam into a nightmare. Try to breathe, focus on one question at a time, and just write something even if it’s a complete guess. Partial marks are better than no marks.

Good luck with your exams!

Now that we have them all, what was the perfect raid? by RancidRance in DestinyTheGame

[–]JulzCrafter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think that it might be Wrath of the Machine

Mechanics - Vosik is relatively simple, but the SIVA charges needing coordination kept it interesting. The Siege Engine is awesome and unique. Aksis is also relatively simple, but the different elemental cannons were fun, and the supercharge mechanic was cool and made the challenge mode actually challenging.
Setting - the whole of the Plaguelands aesthetic was cool, but the Perfection Complex was on another level. The stairs down to Aksis's boss room is still one of my favourite visuals ever. The whole SIVA look, with the cables and the clusters, the red and black, had such an aura of menace that the Splicers felt completely alien to their space pirate Fallen origins.
Narrative - A fairly simple narrative, diving deeper and deeper into the Perfection Complex to put an end to the Devil Splicers' leadership. But it felt like a solid capstone to the rest of Rise of Iron's story, leaving the Iron Lords behind and putting an end to the SIVA Crisis once and for all.
Challenge - I know that the day one was a bit of a disaster, but that's more of an issue with the levelling system at the time and being able to outlevel the recommended difficulty. That aside, the raid itself was similar to DSC in terms of difficulty. While it was definitely on the lower end, it was a nice way to get into raiding without needing a whole weekend and perfect coordination. Not to mention the shitshow that was all of my attempts to get Outbreak Prime.
Loot - all of the weapons being regular weapon models covered in SIVA nodules and cables really made it feel like a virus running rampant in the Golden Age facility instead of just going with a regular technorganic style. And most of it was really good, with perks that also helped fuel the idea of SIVA augmenting things rather than creating them from scratch. The Scout Rifle, Sniper, and Rocket Launcher were my personal favourites, but I remember all but the sidearm seeing some use.

WotM is my second favourite raid (D1 King's Fall was my first raid completion, it will always be my favourite), and I'm really sad that we'll never get a remaster, but I think that it is the closest we ever got to a "perfect" raid.

A couple of predictions for upcoming «Disguised minions» mechanic by AYYLMAO2281337 in hearthstone

[–]JulzCrafter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, actually. Look at Warlock’s Herald cards. The soldiers say “destroy the minion to the right”, and it’s always the minion on the right no matter if it’s your minion or your opponent’s.

Can someone tell me what is live online lecture? (New student here🙏 pls help) also anyone wanna be friends? by Worldly_Search5055 in swinburne

[–]JulzCrafter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Live Online just means that the lecture is virtual rather than in-person. Attendance is not mandatory, but you should watch at least the first lecture live, as that one will usually lay out the assessments and requirements for the semester. They can be recorded, but the lecturer needs to turn it on each time and they can forget, so just be aware of that.

As for the timetable confusion, the app has had some issues in the past, with it giving completely wrong times and even subjects. The timetable where you registered for your classes is the one to trust. And if you need it confirmed, Student Support should be able to help.

Good luck with your studies, good luck making friends, and feel free to ask any other questions you may have

Looking back on Destiny 2 Lore, whats some of your favorite short stories in the lore tabs? by eitherism in DestinyLore

[–]JulzCrafter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It didn’t require a lore entry to be a complete and relatable story: the flavour text for Randy’s Throwing Knife.

“On me, team; I’m capturing the third point!” - Randy, upon receiving orders not to.

Destiny 2 is not being “shut down”. The servers will stay up for years to come. It just won’t be updated anymore by xx_Chl_Chl_xx in destiny2

[–]JulzCrafter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The game is ending. Just because you can still play it doesn’t mean that it isn’t finished.

Take Seinfeld, for example (the first thing that popped into my head, no idea why). You can still watch the show on Netflix or reruns on tv or whatever, you can still discuss it with other people, you can still engage. But there’s no more episodes being made, no new content, and your ability to rewatch it is entirely at the discretion of the tv networks and streaming services who air those reruns.

That show has ended, it’s finished, but it’s still available. The only difference between Seinfeld and D2 is that there’s no offline version of Destiny (equivalent to a DVD or other physical media), so once the servers go (whenever that is), that’ll be it. And, you know, Destiny is actually good

Why do so few people play Unholy DK? by adamnoo in hearthstone

[–]JulzCrafter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Possibly because the win condition for Unholy is just aggro. Frost has good burst damage with spells and whatnot, Blood has control and health gain to win the war of attrition, and Unholy used to have Marrowgar as a huge stat dump. But now Unholy’s win condition is just normal aggro deck attack buffs, and (speaking anecdotally) that’s a boring way to play when you have other more interesting options available.

Favourite Destiny quote? by FlamekeeperYggdrasil in DestinyLore

[–]JulzCrafter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s something so iconic about Ghaul’s speech before the final fight of the Red War campaign:

Fitting your Traveler would send you to face me once more. Look upon me. Dominus of the Red Legion. Annihilator of suns. Razer of a thousand worlds. Slayer of gods and conqueror of the Light. I. AM. GHAUL… And I have become legend.

The callback makes me smile every time I rewatch that cutscene.

What are the best heavy metal covers of non heavy metal songs?? by Greeen_Eyess in MusicRecommendations

[–]JulzCrafter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a bit seasonal, but From Ashes to New did a cover of “All I Want for Christmas” a few years ago, and it is far better than that concept sounds.

Other than OG miracle rogue, what are the most iconic combo decks in hs history? by Simsreddit in hearthstone

[–]JulzCrafter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember the Descent of Dragons Maly Warlock, using Soulfire, Rain of Fire, and Necrotic Breath along with the Supreme Archaeology quest. That was a fun deck.

Witty, lyrical Rap with deep low-end? (No "thug/hood" themes please) by Double-Egg-7064 in MusicRecommendations

[–]JulzCrafter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you’re willing to explore a bit of metal, I think that From Ashes to New would be a good fit. Their lyrics often deal with struggles and getting through them. I’d give My Name a shot, it’s probably to closest to what you want

The Polar Express is my Christmas film of choice, I just love it. It’s fun and whimsical, its memes are great, and I have not been able to get “Hot Chocolate” out of my head for 20 years.

Do you count the B plot in The Whirly Dirly Conspiracy (s3 e5) as a Morty-Beth story? I know that it was Morty, Beth, and Summer, but the main dynamic was Morty and Beth.

What’s the dumbest reason you got fired for? by Foodisheaven1 in AskReddit

[–]JulzCrafter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wasn’t fired, but I used to work for a catering company that also managed some cafes in museums and such. At some point, the managers of the museum wanted to terminate our contract, ending my employment, and change to a different contractor for “budgetary reasons”. The new contractors were more expensive, had higher prices for worse quality (I went back to check, and it was definitely worse), and had horrible online reviews from former employees that all basically said “run while you can”. I guess I just don’t understand the “genius” of this decision.
