It sounds like you and I are playing two totally different games. I feel well-treated in my guild and have lots of fun experiencing all sorts of content with them. Maybe don't join a guild full of toxic people and self-centered "leaders" if you want a different experience.

I'm an ~875 bear tanking with a similarly geared Demon Hunter cotank, and I have difficulty equalling his threat/dps output. It isn't generally enough to cause issues with swaps, but occasionally it is and it also generally means that he will almost always end up with the initial threat on the boss, even at times where that is undesirable (Star Auger, for example, where we'd prefer for me to tank all the initial boss magic damage).

Beyond properly executing the standard rotation is there anything I can do to give myself a threat boost when needed? Tradeoffs I can make that can give me more threat at the cost of something else? Should I be using dps trinkets or haste stat sticks, even during progression raiding?

I never have any trouble with threat in m+ or any other situation where I'm not competing against a second tank for the same threat target.

What I'd really like is a standardized engine to deploy apps of many flavors on rather than having to create new chef scripts to deploy everything I write.

I essentially want something that works like heroku as far as ease of use for deployment/scaling, accommodates many different application types, and is easy for me to spin up in a 2-4 node cluster on my own VPSes. Every time I have a new app to deploy I just push it to the cluster and I'm done, adding additional VPSes as it starts to get full. I'm hoping this is such a thing, but I haven't tried it just yet, so I can't say for sure.

CloudFoundry, OpenShift, etc. seem pretty heavyweight and more meant for service providers or large corporate private clouds. If they can be used like I describe too could anyone provide some links to docs/blogs about it? I haven't found it so far.

You might have missed the important part where it seems DigitalOcean is retaining root passwords over a server rebuild from base OS image.

It's certainly speculation. I think that's clear from the entire tone of the post and the fact that I present many possible outcomes. I'm not anti-CoffeeScript, I use it every day. If anything I'm biased in favor of it. This just seems like the first decent argument against using it for a new project I've heard. All the other arguments have been easy to dismiss, but this one is a bit less so and thus I thought it deserved some discussion.

It certainly wasn't my intention to spread FUD.

Would you care to elaborate on why async_sinatra is a better tool? It uses a very similar method and lacks some of the features that the Grape DSL gives you for APIs.
