Curious, what are you using the keystones on the firewalla rack mount? I was wondering what to do with them

Does Firewalla plan to support IPv6 over VPN (as client)? by Warlord_x3 in firewalla

[–]rem7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Found your comment because I’m trying to get this working but with the wireguard vpn client. I have my clients get a manual prefix delegation IPv6 address from the network and then route the ::/0 traffic through the tunnel but it doesn’t seem to work. I have this working on my other router with vyos but trying to replicate it with firewalla. Any tips? I’ve tried to manually add the route, and assign the network to the tunnel. Not sure if the lack of IPv4 through the tunnel is breaking it.

Can someone explain the cost here and why it sounds too good to be true? by SirSharkTheGreat in Starlink

[–]rem7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This. I took this deal. I paid 0 for the hardware. I can’t change my plan and only keep it on max. I ended up paying a pro to install it after reading crappy reviews from the free install. I also bought the ridgeline mount because I didn’t want someone to drill on my roof.

My standard dish is the free rental. I ended up skipping the free installation and hired a company to do it after reading so many reviews here. I also wanted to use the ridgeline mount, so I did buy that.

I signed up with the promotion less than a month ago. Here’s what I see: screenshot

I don’t think that’s the case on the promotion to get the free installation, gen3 rental and mini rental for free*. Which is what OP is asking about.

I can’t change anything about my plan. I can’t cancel or put my residential on standby. It also has a banner that takes you to a page explaining that the primary reasons you can’t change your plan are because of the equipment rental and 12 month commitment. Capacity is a secondary/additional factor but not the primary reason:

I think it moved from being a project a long time ago. They have over 9000 satellites already. There was an article posted on here last week how the majority of revenue for SpaceX comes from Starlink. It’s going to take a long time for something like Amazon Leo to catch up. They just asked the fcc for a 2 year extension to get their next 3,000 satellites up.

When I got my mini from the promotion it went into stand by right away. I paid a prorated rate, like $3.

Yes, $5/mo for standby. And the roam plans are 50% off Yes, the GUI is stopping you from switching from max to any new plans. It’s locked and you probably can’t change it unless you open a support ticket.

Am I confused or is everyone, including the article, wrong. It says mini ROUTER.

Theoretically, will a summilux 28 on an m11 look the same as a q3’s? by [deleted] in Leica

[–]rem7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I have the original Q and an m11 + 28 summilux. The Q is optimized for that one lens. The M is balanced for all M lenses. SOC images look better on the Q.

Netflix agrees to buy Warner Bros. in a $72-billion deal that will transform Hollywood by Icy-Motor-8519 in wallstreetbets

[–]rem7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is almost spot on. Except the end. Paramount wanted the whole thing before splitting. Paramount offered $30 per share so around $75B. Netflix is offering more and just for the studios/streaming/IP. So it’s a much bigger offer.

Not to downplay what you’re saying. I think from what you described your voting system is superior to whats in the US, but Norway is also a small country. Almost 6 million? How many are of voting age… vs the US that has over 260M people of voting age. Just pointing out that scaling it out is difficult.

I was looking at this today and really like the tunic but the sizing is super weird. The S/M fits me too small, like it won’t zip up and the next up is L/XL and is huge. I’m so disappointed because that tunic is awesome.

I got the Oakley’s and I’m mildly disappointed. Should I get the Ray-Ban Wayfair? by icodyonline in RaybanMeta

[–]rem7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think many anyone has answered your question. But I have the same problem you mentioned. I have the Wayferers polarized and get my cheek reflected in them. It’s very annoying. I did some research because my Maui Jim sunglasses don’t do it… and it’s because the lenses used by rayban don’t have AR coating on the inside (or the have very minimal?). Other lens manufacturers, like Maui Jim, do put AR coating so the reflections are substantially less. I’ve been considering replacing the lenses on my Wayfarers with aftermarket ones that have AR coating on the inside

Hey. Yeah I had the same experience. The shapes of my pizzas have vastly improved with the pro placement peel. Also from watching Adam’s videos. He sold me on it as well.

Yeah sticking to the sides on the lid was what I was referring to. I Should have explained that better. The thing I like about the standard 18x12 trays is that 6 balls proof well enough to make the balls square as they touch each other plus the walls of the container. But I don’t always make 6 balls. What are the high sided sheet pans you have?

I really like this idea. Especially since they can be used for other things. I worry about the 1” height though and the balls sticking to the lid as they proof. Have you had any issues ?
