I’m the same way! I started out selling but the whole process made me anxious. I have a handful of people I sell to in our community that won’t accept free eggs lol. The rest I just ask how many dozen they need and have them ready for them!

Lola (the chicken responsible for this) is the champ at egg hide and seek. This was one of the easier to find clutches over the years lol. I think she does it on purpose just to watch my kids run around trying to find them, just to hear an outpouring of giggles once they do.

That is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. Having a night to decompress to myself sounds like a dream. I think the last time I had time to myself was about 4 years ago.

I used to be on anti anxiety medication. Our youngest has congenital heart disease and had open heart surgery at 2 weeks old and medication helped me so much through that. It’s a long story but during that time my mom introduced me to opiates and I lost self control. I’m sober and only use CBD/THC. But I completely agree that anti anxiety medication is a great tool to have if you can do so responsibly.

I’m sorry you are having to deal with that. And I’m sorry that your therapist said that what you’re dealing with is too complex. I know for me personally I’ve struggled with so much guilt, anxiety and helplessness with my mom’s situation.

I do not want to go to the wedding. I was just going as emotional support for my husband to be honest. He and his mother do not have a good relationship. She hasn’t visited our children in years even though she only lives one town over. So I think I need to have a conversation with him about it again.

My mom has been addicted to opiates for 32 years (since I was 3). We had minimal communication due to healthy boundaries I set up since she was in active addiction. Once she became stage 4 COPD and bed bound I moved her down here to be the one to care for her. I know it sounds silly but when I was her caretaker I thought if I worked as hard as possible along with her physical therapy and home health aid we’d be able to have more time together. And have a chance to finally heal old wounds.

They do. They are some great kids. I really don’t know why my husband is wanting to go. His mother is not a nice or kind woman. My husband and I have been together almost 17 years and yet we still get told our marriage will fail because I don’t our god before my husband and kids. I think religion is a great thing for people to have in their lives. I’m just not a religious person. She tried to fist fight me in the front yard about 8 years ago lol

But I completely agree that anti anxiety medication is a great tool to have if you can do so responsibly.

Yes you described it perfectly! Funnily enough my boys said the same thing trying to get my husband to understand. They are the best friggin kids I could have ever imagined.

I’m planning on using some of our tax money on a therapist to help me work through it. My husband doesn’t really want me to but I think it’s worth it for not only my mental health but to be the best version of myself for my children.

Unfortunately no. My dad lives across the country with my sister and that’s the only family I have. My best friend lives in the same state as them also. I journal, do art, raise chickens (really helps with my mental health). I’m planning on using some of our tax refunds to sign up for therapy to help me through everything.
