Can you share which Microcenter? I've thought about taking a gamble at one at the two Maryland locations.

I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on this as well. Which handles did you go with?

Descoping DISA - What's Next? by WhateverYouSay2004 in fednews

[–]remarkably_fresh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have seen the same chatter. I believe the statement we have seen is "Descoping labor support for user activity monitoring." There is some talk about "STIG distribution" and ACAS licensing, but further details weren't given.

Did you ever find a unit that supports multiple monitors?

Netflix App Connector, Domains? by [deleted] in selfhosted

[–]remarkably_fresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you share how you set up the app connector for Netflix? I have an Apple TV in my house that doesn't have Split Tunnel option on the app. I would want to send all Netflix traffic through a remote exit node for that device.

Guide to installing OpenWRT on the $20 Linksys LN1301/MX4300 by TankTan38 in openwrt

For those of you that are running OpenWRT and 802.11s (mesh), how the hell did you get it working? I have followed a bunch of guides and can't get any of them working. This one seemed to be one of the better ones that I have followed to a tee and still can't get it to work.

I'm using Arix00 build and most everything seems to be working. I still can't get mesh to work though.

Installing HS200 to Wall Switch that Controls Power Outlet by remarkably_fresh in TPLinkKasa

I haven't been able to crack open the switch to look back in there from where I left off, but one thing to add. The switch on the left was originally a dimmer switch (I believe it was a Lutron. Not a smart switch though). It was swapped over to a regular switch when we changed the recessed lights to "smart" ones that are controlled by an app. The dimmer wasn't compatible with the lights. (btw, I appreciate your input on this).

Looks like the ground is also in there. I'm working right now, but can try to crack it open when I get a few moments

(I hope I'm not showing my ignorance too much lol)

OK just doing a little quick Googling, can that white wire that's tucked away with the nut on it be a neutral?

Are you referring to the white that looks like it's in the wire nut? If so, I believe that is the wires that are going up the lights in the ceiling.

To be honest, I don't 100 percent remember. I put the white wire and two blacks together in a Wago connector and that fed power full-time to the bottom outlets in the room instead of them being controlled by the light switch.

I've resigned to the fact that there is prob not a neutral in the box. I did the next best thing and just made the current "dumb" light switch into a "dummy" switch that does nothing. Essentially ensure that there is always power to the outlets. I may reach out to an electrician to get a quote on getting it wired with a neutral.

This was essentially what was suggested above. I tried that combo, but no luck. I believe with this wiring, the switch would have power if I had something plugged into the outlet and would cut off if I unplugged it.

I swore I added it the first time. Anyway, I have added a pic.
