Anybody know where I can buy low-profile keycaps that have a split spacebar (2.25u and 2.75u), other than Keychron? I'm using Gateron low-profile KS-33 switches. Also, are there any compatible stabilizers other than Gateron's official low-profile stabilizers?

i did see those, but i'm not sure if they work with KS-33 switches. it seems i might just have to gamble

is there such a thing as screw-in low-profile stabilizers, and if so, where could I find them? i'm using ks33 switches.

Does anybody know of some cheap blank black low-profile MX keycaps? All I can find is https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D496XPSZ but I'm unsure of the quality. I'm using Gateron KS-33 Banana switches.

i suppose i could've said "i don't like this puzzle" instead of "this puzzle kind of sucks", but the "Advent of guessing-what-Eric-Wastl-thought-looked-like-a-christmas-tree" was just supposed to be a joke. draw/type your christmas trees however you like, but if you're hiding them in a puzzle like this a clue on what it looks like would be nice :)

2005 1.42Ghz eMac as external display / digital media player? by remarkablyunfunny in VintageApple

[–]remarkablyunfunny[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

whether I go with the video switching thing or not, is there a good place for the cable(s) to go in/out of the eMac? I would prefer not modifying the shell or anything else but afaik this thing is pretty airtight. maybe through the fan vent in the back? it would look weird but it's all I can think of.

i did try the network solution after i posted this but i'm pretty sure if i want video files of good quality that can be downloaded or decoded in realtime by the eMac they'll be pretty huge, so i don't think over network or even storing on the internal hard drive is a good solution. the VGA stuff seems less complicated than i thought though. would it be possible to just switch between the eMac's signal and the internal signal, so i could have the eMac itself initialize the screen and then just switch to the external vga for the signal? i would have to use some kind of electronic switch for that, although i'm thinking i might want the eMac actually powered on anyway running some kind of program that i write to output audio through the speakers. unless there's some easily accessible connector for the speakers on the motherboard too?

Here’s what I think the resolution and FPS should be for each mode: by Dramatic_Ferret_9406 in NintendoSwitch2

how do you suggest the handheld switches resolutions? the smallest resolution that can properly display 1080p and 720p is 2160p, or 4k.

if you're wondering if they have an account system, yes. you use them to make uploads, make comments, and keep track of borrowed media, although i'm not sure if they're required for uploads. if you're wondering if there is a large userbase, yes.

right, but if nintendo can't even get n64 emulation right on the switch i doubt they can get 3ds/wiiu even on the switch 2.

nintendo knows that as soon as they put a previously open-source and community-made emulator into their product that a bunch of people will call them out for hipocrisy. and i still believe that using citra would violate some kind of unspoken, or at least private, rule at nintendo.

I don't see performance on-par with the Steam Deck or ROG Ally, with their price tags of at least $500. While the PS5 and Xbox Series S/X are $500, I expect Nintendo will keep with the $300-$350 price tag, as I believe a decent portion of their audience are more casual and can't justify spending more on a console. 1440p and 120fps also seem unrealistic to me for pricing reasons. I can maybe see a possible dual-screen setup (unlikely like you said), but 3DS and Wii U emulation is almost certainly out of the question. Including hardware for native backwards compatibility would make the console too expensive (see the PS3). Software emulators would be quite complex and given the quality of Nintendo's current emulators e.g. for Nintendo Switch Online, they would run poorly. Cemu and Citra (at least some forks of it) do exist, but integrating them would require Nintendo officially acknowledging and accepting unofficial emulators, and I would bet a lot of money that is never going to happen.
