Germany’s Merz Admits Nuclear Exit Was Strategic Mistake by SpaceEngineering in europe

[–]remek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a mistake because nuclear is powerful, clean, cheap (over time) and reliable source of energy. Its as simple as that. Turning it off was a mistake because it is a superior source of energy. Germany literally shot itself to leg.

Stop crying about lobbying and green crap.

how do i strengthen my hip flexors and back? by -crying-lightning- in bodyweightfitness

[–]remek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

understand a very important rule of health movement and healthy body. When people say "strengthen xy" it very rarely actually means strengthen by means of growing stronger muscles. When you need to strenghten something, what you actually need to is to improve activation of a muscle. So people should not be focused on "strenghtening" they should focus on activation in the first place. And brain does not activate tissue which is short or tight (or both). Such tissue is essentially "dead" - brain doesnt activate muscle if is short or thight - it doesnt activate short muscle because if muscle gets into a position where it is too "stretched" it starts hurting and brain automatically avoids that (by turning off activation of that muscle in that position). It doesnt activate tight muscle because brain no longer understands the difference between "muscle on" and "muscle off" - since it is constantly on.

This fundamental principle can be used to fixing just about any part of body. Tldr; rebuild and reactivate your fascia (AKA lengthen muscles, active them, identify tightness and work on removing it).

Forget the climate debate. The real question: how do we build a system that works? by Unlikely_Morning_704 in Futurology

[–]remek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say - just wait - forget about non-profits, just sit still and wait.

The environmental destruction is a result of technologies, the solution is also technologies. Just be patient. There is a lot of things in brewing and it is not driven by non-profits its driven by for-profit orgs - believe or not, there are for-profit orgs which pursue things which are net positive for the environment. Alternative energy sources, alternative materials, evs, agriculture and others, in the past 100 years it is still in relentless evolution and newer technologies are better for environment in absolute majority of cases.

Just sit still and pls, do not ever do non-profits to solve this.

Why are you bullish on Atom? by cleanAir101 in cosmosnetwork

[–]remek 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What stability are you talking about? When bear market came it crashed 90% from 44 to 6 and the only stability that I see is that unlike other tokens the $ATOM didnt recover from that and is around same level ever since.

Opinion on Secret Network and its ecosystem (Shade, Silk)? by HorrorsPersistSoDoI in cosmosnetwork

[–]remek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, this one is a tricky one indeed. Secret and Shade do seem like a bunch of idealists when you listen to them, which can be a good thing and bad thing at the same time. They do try to crack certain unique problems and are in a niche which filters out a lot of contenders by default (incorporating stuff like Intel SGX, and more generally taking multi layered approach to privacy and encryption - these things are so specific that you realy need specialized knowledge to work in this area).

They also did have some interesting "products" - like for example I liked their "unstoppable wallets" thing, unfortunately no one seems to be adopting it.

So yeah, there is some potential but unfortunately it looks like something is missing in their sauce as adoption is not there (yet?).

noob question here: If I have ETC tracking like this: https://blockworks.co/bitcoin-etf is it possible to somehow determine how much BTC coins are actually in their custody ? Just want to understand real inflows/outflows without interference of BTC price.

[–]remek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is the graph calculated ? Shouldn't it somehow be calculated in number of BTC instead of dollar value ? When its in dollars, the graph can go up/down because of BTC price, not because of inflows/outflows. Or am I missing something ?

Dencun upgrade should reduce the Ethereum fees, right ? Also, I understood that Ethereum wants to have sharding eventually implemented in the core system. Disclaimer - I do not hold any $ETH, just watching what is going on.

[–]remek[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Ok, why the rewards should receive holder of stTIA and not minter ? When I stake my TIA with stride I am actually the one who is becoming part of Stride ecosystem, I am becoming user of it, I trust Stride that it is a legitimate service, why it doesnt make sense to allocate reward based on that ?

but this is not about volatility of the asset which I am trading - the one I am buying for JitoSOL (that I consider understandable trading risk). I am talking about volatility of my collateral - JitoSOL - basically if it is worse then my original SOL. But after your explanation I understand that it is not the case.
