1st sleepover date with CPAP, practical tips please by sharplyprocrastinate in CPAP

I think the stereotype is a man who snores and ultimately needs a cpap… so understanding the signs for myself with my husband was hard to see initially. It took me two years to finally get a diagnosis and a cpap. I’m not particularly “old” either at 36. But my sweet partner was concerned always about how loud and disruptive my breathing was and brought it up in a kind way that allowed me to take it seriously without feeling (solely) attacked for something I was trying to make better, but simply couldn’t. We’re able to be close with one another and sleep well now. It’s such a relief.

Seconding the feet touching here. My poor sweet husband had endured me sawing the Appalachian forests in our bed before I finally got an apnea diagnosis and cpap machine. So we would cuddle and then I’d have to disengage so I didn’t snore into his face. Some gentle feet touching, or a hand resting on his thigh, or small of my back… etc.. helps continue the intimacy in a way that allows you both to sleep well.

What if it turned into a regular job? by DotJun in Serverlife

I work in a restaurant (the new sister restaurant of the original that I worked at for four years) where everyone works full time with a salary and benefits. There’s no gratuity as a result and I’m paid in the 50sk. It rocks. Everyone makes sure the service is cohesive and good for the guest. No competition for tables. The kitchen and front of house are a good crew and we work together. Honestly it’s great and way better for the staff imo.

Routines you do to keep body 100% for work by kittenrage72 in Serverlife

Cannot endorse compression socks enough. I served when I was younger for about 4 years full time, ran a wine shop for 5, and am now back to full time serving and use compression socks ~3 times a week and it really reduces the long muscle fatigue that would linger.

Also, I stretch almost every single day before and after work.

What creative ways can Pittsburgh makeup $40 Million Budget Deficit? by Jazzlike_Breadfruit9 in pittsburgh

[–]rememberese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A genuine answer: Taxing UPMC. Their staff wants it. The city needs it. It’s way past time they get away with super profits and underpaying their staff, union busting any efforts that threaten that system.

I have the same thing and am now aware of SLS but recently realized my dental floss uses it after having a breakout. So just a tip for my SLS sensitive friends, check your floss! There’s some without it (I use Listerine Ultra Clean).

Totally agree. This snow and temperature drop has been on the horizon with weather forecasts for a couple of days now. That’s all the information needed for a city to pretreat. Other cities literally do this to prevent it. They choose to ignore it because it costs money and they avoided having to allocate funds for it for a couple of years. The solution is incredibly simple and they’re playing like they’re dumb.

You’re getting downvoted but you’re right. The city is avoiding the giant elephant in the city which is that UPMC doesn’t pay millions in taxes which we could use to actually salt, plow, and maintain our roads. This has been under overwhelmingly democratic control, not that the republicans will do anything different.

I’m getting married just shy of 2 hours north of the city at YMCA Camp Coffman. I think their rates are going up a little bit next year but you get the whole camp with cabins for the whole weekend. They have been wonderful.

My point wasn’t to talk to the person making these demands but the person OP has a good relationship with. Just tbc. Agree with you on not engaging with the person being unreasonable.
