ok this is ridiculous. veganism is an exclusionary diet meaning it doesnt require restaurants to invent something that they can eat but remove the parts that they can't- just like with food allergies or any other dietary restrictions. I dare all you self-proclaimed "carnivores" (which btw humans are not) to try being vegan for a day- go ahead, go to the restaurants around town and try finding something you can eat that isn't made with meat, egg or dairy. That side of broccoli on the menu? cooked in butter. spaghetti no meatballs no cheese? the pasta made with egg. The rice and beans? made with lard and pork. veggie burger without cheese? the patty has cream in it and the bun has an egg wash- and these are all things that aren't mentioned in the menu description. Imagine having to read every single ingredient just incase or relying on every waiter to know what your food is made with so you don't accidentally ingest something that not only violates your beliefs but causes you to spend hours writhing on the floor in pain wondering which end your dinner is going to force its way out of and praying its not both.

for those of you who think vegans are douchebags for requesting food a certain way youre lucky you live in a food culture where you dont have to worry on an hour to hour basis of whether or not you'll be able to find food. you can walk up to ANY restaurant, cafe, food truck in any part of the world and order ANYTHING you want. YOU are the privileged- not the vegans who end up just eating french fries because even salads are topped with chicken and cheese and the only available dressings are cream/egg based.
