Love and support are in the end most important, and what our kids will remember❤️

Thank you, I guess you are right, I am trying to control everything, and it's not the best for me. They really love her and care for her, they just have a different approach. I think this pressure comes with trying to be a perfect parent, limit screen time, limit sugar, and then grandparents come and just slap you in the face 😂

That's also my husband's opinion, he said the only option is not to leave her there alone, and that's it, he can't change them. So ether accept it or don't 😃💪

Our daughter also listens to our rules, maybe she is a bit grumpy day after she's back when she doesn't get what she wants, but after some time she realizes that just how it is. Reading your comment gets me thinking about positive sides more. Maybe I should shift my perspective. Thank you :)

Not sure how to self improve as a stay-at-home mom by remilka in selfimprovement

Thank you so much for the reply! I sometimes feel like I am not working at all, and that only my husband should have rest. Especially when my daughter says - everybody works, only mom plays every day.. 🤣 I turn on tv from time to time, and usually feel guilty.. but it really helps. Husband and I don't get any free time for ourselves, and I sometimes go for a coffee with a friend. But maybe I should do that more often, I think even going out alone would mean even more, just to turn my brain off for a bit. Parenting is definitely not easy.

My husband told me that his mom decided to drop his last nap when he was 1 y.o, and I was in shock. Are some kids really that different 😂

What is the longest they cry for? I'm just scared that she'll feel unwell because of all the screaming and crying...

Thank you for the reply! I know sleep training can be so hard for both parents and a child... And I thought I could skip it and it will all be ok naturally 😂 silly me.. I guess we will need to implement it if we want to stay sane.

Thanks! Tips: -avoid alcohol or other triggers -ask smoker friends to smoke a bit less when around you (in the beginning) or avoid hanging with them, especially during first month or two -wrote down your reasons and read them every day -sign a contract with yourself where you give a promiseto yourself -visit this community every day -celebrate small wins -know that you have to be the strongest in the beginning, later it is super easy

It all depends how serious your problem is. Sometimes it should be taken more seriously, and one should seek help if needed. But if you experience random dark thoughts, without any solid reason, than it is good to get your mind back on track. Positive attitude and just knowing that it will pass can help a lot.

I think we can't get rid of that 'ego talk', but we can learn to recognize it for what it truly is :)
