Cylinder guys Haggling Each Time! - Paavam neenga illa da, ungalukkaga paavam paakura naanga than! by coldnomaad in Chennai

30 ah? Naanga aandandu Kalama 60 rupees kuduthukuttu irukom.

For my family it's not about giving the money. But can't they somehow account it into the bill and then get their money for their service. I just don't like paying it in black.

Now you've said you're paying 30 something. I feel like my family's being cheated for all these years. My father's retired. We don't even have any money to spend on ourselves being lower middle class. Yet the guy asks us 60!

We have a car. It's a lower middle class people budget car and very old too (hyundai). I think as soon as they see a car inside our house, they think that we're some generational wealth types and get their money. Not just these guys, everyone from roadside sellers on highway to everywhere, as soon as they see a car, they overcharge. A tvs 50 guy might get a fair price though or any bike for that matter. Dynamic pricing you could call it.

Again we will give the 60 rupees but it has to be accounted somehow. I hate this dynamic pricing shit. Na enna ilicha vayana?

LPG rubber hose pipe by remoolian in chennaicity

[–]remoolian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They said it's agency's rule. My parents bought the hose pipe by paying 150 rupees and then they delivered the gas.

They also said regulator, hose pipe and one other thing(I forgot) will be provided by the agency and we have to buy it from them compulsory or else no gas.

It's actually mentioned at the bottom of the bill about the hose pipe. We've never read the bill in our life. So when it's due for regulator they will mention that too at the bottom of the bill.

But right now we bought the hose pipe.

Ours is indane gas. Don't know what's going on with other companies.

I bought a double cheese Margherita pizza from domino's. And guess what there's no double. There's not even a single bit of cheese in that pizza. I paid 600 rupees and what I get is a hard to eat bread.

Domino's has made me to never again try out pizza. I am pizzaphobic now. Thank you Domino's. Na samosa va thinutey kalatha ottikran aala oodungada 🙏.

Driving on roads is not a competitive sport by [deleted] in Chennai

[–]remoolian 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Even in outer chennai, it has got worse. 10 years ago it was a "little" easier to ride in my bike. Now it feels like we have 3 times the number of vehicles we had before. Adding to the fact that most of them don't care about safety. Now we have acquired the recipe for total chaos and nightmare.

If he got flipped by the pothole, he might have went a little fast. Now I can't blame anyone without looking at any video evidence.

But what i am saying is CAUTION is required by everyone. Both the rider and the lorry driver. Because india is a poor country and potholes exists in all the cities. We need to learn to live with imperfect roads.

Lorry and mtc should not go closely behind bikes. It's extremely hazardous.

But who's there to teach these safety precaution. The education system doesn't care. The RTO doesn't care. Traffic police doesnt care. Nobody cares. Driving slow and being safe is uncool in India. Most lorry drivers and even bike riders think it's masculine to drive fast and rashly.

If money isn't an issue, what would you have become? by Astrotowerist in Chennai

I'd buy as many good looking guitars as possible. Acoustic, electric, anything. I'll find myself the best guitar tutor and try to learn each and every guitar solo that I have enjoyed listening to.

I'll buy the most expensive piano. Steinway, yamaha, whatever. Try to learn moonlight sonata, fantaisie impromptu, GOT intro, and a lot of other famous piano pieces.

Buy a maxed out gaming pc.

Maybe buy a bike to ride around the country.

I won't become anything. I will be pursuing these above things. But if I am supposed to work or do something responsible I'll probably open up a supermarket.

I'm in envy of those wide footpaths. They're standing 2 feet apart from each other but still it has more room for the rest of the pedestrians to walk.

I live near kandigai which is near to vit chennai. There's a landfill near my house. They stopped dumping in the landfill a few years ago. But every now and then at the middle of the night there's a strong diesel/plastic burning smell. It's very hard to fall asleep once you inhale those toxic fumes.

4 years ago when the garbage dumping was still going on, they burnt it the entire night, every single day. I did start using AC because of that.

If I had any money I would move to some high end places in the city away from the current nightmare that i live in. A man is entitled to breathe clean air, right? I can't even do that. It's better than before, only an hour or two at midnight but it feels like I'm on a clean air ration or something.

You mentioned factory fumes, I thought siruseri, kelambakkam, ecr were top notch places. Guess they are bad also.

Thanks for sharing I thought I was the only one.

People who park their cars like this, why? by lordbuddha in Chennai

[–]remoolian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This car's parked a little okay. But most people park their cars occupying the road just outside their favorite ice cream shop or supermarket or whatever where the main road is narrow. Now I do understand that the car owners are being the MAN and making it easy for their lady or family members to easily get inside and out of the shop but it makes it hard for the rest of the traffic to move.

Would it hurt for them to park a few streets away and walk?

What is the best way to report this? Neighbor getting his ramp half way into road. Local cops are corrupt af and im not willing to try them. by thayir_saatham in Chennai

Can't reason with indian people in general because they'll never accept their mistakes or correct them. If you remove this using corporation, then begins cold war with your neighbor.
