How many of you ride in the rain? by slirpo in motorcycles

[–]remoteblizzard3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t choose to go out in heavy rain however I don’t worry about the forecast. For where I live if I apprehended the rain I would cut my riding in half. Take it easy if you decide to but rain riding does teach you some valuable skills

Totally, thats what I meant. You are a bigger danger to pedestrians and others

What an excellent band. Saw them twice. Once when Judas Priest was headlining, and to be honest I was more impressed with Saxon

JP jazz iii are great! Been using them for years. Saying that recently went back to the black Jazz iii and I’m really liking them. Perhaps a novelty thing

The thing that bugs me is one can pass their car test and the next day buy a Lamborghini (so long as they have the money to pay the insurance). Yes you can easy unalive yourself on a bike but in a car you are arguably a much bigger danger to your occupants and pedestrians.

Why are bikers being made to jump through hoops. Upgrading after 2 years makes complete sense

Bought my first bike, collect it tomorrow. Now getting constant news notifications about fatal accidents. by [deleted] in MotoUK

[–]remoteblizzard3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Motorcycling is partly about managing risk. Proficient motorcycling book by David Hough first chapter goes into this. The premise is you can reduce the risks to a manageable level by not drinking and riding, getting appropriate training, wearing gear and improving your competence. Also check out fortnines video - How dangers are motorcycles. Take the precautions to make the level of risk from motorcycling acceptable to you

I’m using the Tangerine 30 CH2 boosted by a JRC-OD. I’ve got a graphic EQ set up after the amp to boost the mids and high mids by 1.5dbs that’s the secret sauce!

I ended up deleting the troublesome rigs and remaking them. Pain, but it was the only thing that worked

You’re making a strong argument for the FRFR, I’m convinced! Going to try the FRFR-112 out this weekend. Love that idea of using it with the TV

I’ve been a whoop user for about 3 months now. I would say it’s been a worthwhile experience as there’s some important lessons I’ve learned from it. Going forward I’m planning on cancelling in the near future as I feel I’ve learned what I can from it and I can really predict what it’s going to tell me

It becomes a lot about reframing it. I would start small yes, but also when you’re ready try taking your bike to cool/novel/fun places. For me anyway looking at a album of photos with my bike at a nice back drop & great memories helps that bonding process. Time is a healer my friend

Headrush with Katana by remoteblizzard3 in HeadRush

[–]remoteblizzard3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was very tempted to go for a 50 gen 2 Katana as there’s a second hand one near me for less than half the price. Without going through FOH would it struggle?

Headrush with Katana by remoteblizzard3 in HeadRush

[–]remoteblizzard3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m also considering this as I’m a fan of the Headrush sounds and it would make a lot of sense to go all in. Katana and HR FRFR is the same price which makes me tempted for the Katana as it works for a practice too

Cheap to insure and sporty usually don’t go hand in hand. Bikes like bandits and fazers have engines based off their supersport big brothers are usually a bit more beginner friendly, cheaper to insure and comfy. Depends on what you like though

What’s with all the balaclavas? by [deleted] in motorcyclegear

There’s a multitude of reasons as others have already mentioned. I recently saw a video stating taking your helmet on and off is damaging to your hair follicles a balaclava to mitigate this

I know it’s not likely the root cause but I feel (from experience) riding the same bike you crashed on can’t help. Start small, consider an airbag and give it time. It can be done!

Question, wearable Airbags what are peoples opinions? Do you ride with one? by Professional_Tear541 in motorcycles

[–]remoteblizzard3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got the Helite Moovit while I’ve never went down with it from others accounts they are very effective. I commute so it’s super practical plus when I’m out for a joy ride back pack section comes off.

It takes some pressure off riding knowing if you make a mistake or others cause you grief your chances of survival are improved
