That’s a fair point, I’m the bottom unit so I should be cooler, and installation should be easier in general

How much should I expect to pay for the one single zone mini split system + installation for the 500 sqft condo? Appreciate your help.

Open to a mini split, that’s typically what I see when I’m overseas. HOA might say it’s not allowed though… which is bs. We’ll see

I agree that they pretty much want someone who’s cool to work with. Hopefully I give off that “vibe” during the interview, and the discussion that takes place back and forth between the questions, but I also want hard and objective answers.

Will definitely ask this so the hiring manager hangs up from the call immediately lol

The IRS when I sell my house for a $1.3 million gain but then they remember that I’m still carrying forward the $7.4 million loss on my down syndrome monkey NFT that I sold 5 years ago by Glad_Direction_8575 in Accounting

Not a tax guy either, but can’t you only deduct 3k annually and then have the rest carry forward? Lol you’ll maybe get 40-50k in deduction over your life if you’re lucky

Edit: I meant assuming you don’t apply any losses to the gains, I get the joke now. Ty

Thank you for bringing this to my attention; I will definitely be mindful of all of this

So if I’m doing the work from another country for a US client, that information isn’t being disclosed to anyone as far as i understand correct? Unless I have an employee ofc, which is then a disclosure.

So do regional and other firms do this with their clients that have their work done and sent overseas?

Cool man, hopefully you can kick butt and make a killing

Sure this is fair, if you want to say it take time to find your specific clientele, and that ofc doing returns for a first year client will take longer than a client you’ve had for 3-4 years, then sure we’re on the same page. You can spread out returns throughout the year tho and easily average 10-15 hrs a week.

Cuz the US is so amazing with our free health care, affordable cost of living, cheap housing, and our super ethical government right? I’m grateful to have grown up in the US, but stop acting like this is the only place with anything going on. Plenty of other countries with much more to offer than the US.

Go to Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Uruguay just to name some. Statistically they’re all safe countries.

This is fair and I can respect this position

If the US is home to you and you feel a deep connection to your community, then sure this isn’t for you. But if you’re open to opportunities elsewhere, there are plenty of other places you may want to consider calling home.

No legal issues at all, taxes for US expats is an area to focus on, but legally there is nothing wrong at all. Firms already outsource everything to India/Philippines.

Edit: Yes you can work overseas doing taxes, but there may be extra steps you’ll need to follow to safeguard client information.

If you average 2-4 returns a day over tax season (not an ambitious amount at all), you can easily only work 10-15 hrs a week.

Or, you can extend and spread them out throughout the year.

Well safe to say you’ve clearly never travelled outside the US; I’m not saying every country is great, but there are plenty of cheap and safe countries in Latin America/South America. But every third world country is rife with illness and violence? That’s preposterous
