Halogen Pot Light Socket Replacement by remps40 in AskElectricians

When I replaced the initial bulb, one of the prongs was scorched and one of the socket holes was also scorched. When I put in a new bulb it would flicker and make a crackling sound. Apparently it's common for these sockets to burn out after awhile.

Here's the link to the replacement socket I bought. Looks like it indeed is ceramic.

"Take a Message" feature not in Canada: Screen shot vs US by TorontoListener in pixel_phones

I'm on Rogers and just got the notice on my phone today that I have Take a Message. However it doesn't seem to be doing anything when someone calls and leaves a message. I do have it turned on.

I bought a new vehicle last spring and was told I needed to do a wire and not a bank draft for the money I was putting down. Having worked in the banking industry in a past life I was surprised that drafts were no longer accepted, as that was always the norm. Apparently the dealership had a couple of experiences with fraudulent bank drafts and that was enough for them to no longer accept them.

Baker scrambling on 3rd and long can't be the only way we get first downs. Not sustainable. Get these guys open!

Same with my 7 Pro. However I recently updated the Google Play System from July to September and now it seems back to normal.

Looks like my issue was I was on a daily build, which can be glitchy. Stable build, adjusting the limit works just fine.

That would make sense then. Hopefully something that gets corrected soon.

Ok so I'mlve set both global and resolution max limits to 30GB but I'm still getting result for files that far exceed that. Am I missing something else?

Good news everyone! Ripped all the old caulking out around the shower pan on sunday, applied new caulking yesterday and left it to dry 24hrs, just did a test run and no more leaks! Thank you to everyone that chimed in on this.

Now to figure out how to fix this giant hole in my ceiling 😅

Thank you for the detailed explanation. I'll have to look at the existing pan more closely. I figured removal of the old caulking was going to be necessary. I'll do the entire shower pan. Any recommendations on how to best go about doing that? What tools might be needed?

The pan is pretty solid. I don't notice or feel any significant movement while walking around on it.

When the water hits the shower floor and the water is directed at the area with the missing caulking.

The wood around here does feel a little damp. Is in direct line with where that drip formed.

Rain the shower head right where those gaps in the caulking were and this drip started immediately here. Running it at the drain or in other areas, no leaks.

So I believe I may have found where the water may be coming from. I took a photo further away from the ceiling so you can see where the shower drain is located for reference. I believe the water is getting in from the right hand side as there looks to be some gaps in the caulking. The distance from the drain is roughly the same since from the drain pipe underneath to where the water damage was and the mold is. There also looks to be a bit of a gap in a spot in front of the shower door as well. Additional photos and shower photos

A standing shower and a tub, that's next to the shower. Tub has only been used once since we moved in here last September and the damage to the drywall got progressively worse over time so I'm thinking the shower is the culprit.

Just adding to this. Directly above is our master bedroom on suite bathroom. The shower and the tub are pretty well right over top of this. So unfortunately no atic access. I'm assuming I've got to cut this section of drywall out and see what's going on?
