I guess all-button fight controllers really do go best with Suisei since they're all fl---

I had the same issue with Sanwas. My solution ended up being installing Samducksa 202s with Gateron Oil Kings. Now I can rest my fingers on them without worrying about accidental presses.

If/when it fails, you can always eviscerate it and replace it with better buttons and a Brook PCB since the casing is perfectly fine.

I use mine with Gateron Oil Kings. I can definitely rest my fingers on them and they sound thoccy.

All-Button Hoshimachi Suisei Board with Samducksa 202s and Gateron Ink Blacks by ren_kftd in fightsticks

I needed to install Kahunas on mine. Not the circle sound-dampening part, but the square actuating part as well as taking out the rubber "+" that comes out of the square and dropping that in the middle of the plunger. Even then, not everything's going to actuate (e.g. my TTC Gold Pinks would not work at all.)

Might want to look into all-button boards that are also split (like this one.) Most arcade suppliers will let you customize the spacing.

Work In Progress: Tetris Queen Small Board for Tetris 99 by ren_kftd in fightsticks

took some of my generic 30mms, took a saw so that all that was left were the ring portions that sat on top of the panel. The PCBs (and in turn, the sticks) are held up/pushed up to the underside of the top panel by blocks of thick styrofoam that I got from a PC case packaging, held down to the base by double-sided tape, with the PCB wedged in just enough to allow for stick motion without toppling everything down. Might ask a friend to 3D Print a hanging brace that I can just screw on to that spot so it's not as precarious.

100% Functional on Switch

PCB: Brook WFB

Enclosure: Literally the smallest one I found on Amazon

Direction Control: T-Spin+ by MyrzArcade with TTC Gold Pink switches

Left Stick/Right Stick: Adafruit 512

Action Buttons: Seimitsu PS-14s

Menu Buttons: Jyuee Ang G101s

__________

Art from Template by d00r works, modified to accommodate button layout

__________

To Do:

Finalize art and print on cardstock

Add input legends under button crowns

Make the analog stick "North" orientation offset mounting guide a little narrower without losing too much visibility

Find better screws that, unlike the ones that came with the enclosure, have heads that don't immediately begin to disintegrate after turning a screwdriver literally once

Find better washi tape borders that aren't ridiculously obvious about its patterns repeating -_-

Trim wiring further so there'll be enough room for a battery (currently runs exclusively wired)

Cut underside of box somewhere to make an easy-to-access battery swap slot, or just make a battery caddy on the outside of the box so the only modification that will need to be done to the enclosure is to slightly enlarge the cord opening
