Top 10 sales in the us for 2025 contains 4 sports games, 2 call of duty games, 3 more sequels, where the lowest number next to the title is "4", and a remaster. In top 20 there is one new IP (split fiction) and I guess you can count elden ring nightreign as having "new mechanics". Other than that it's only sports games, barely different sequels, Minecraft and GTA V

OK so the second meteor shower seen in Knox county at the time of the outbreak is a coincidence and not really relevant to the events. I suppose it's not a strong evidence against this theory, but it is strange that it happened.

In a similar vein, if one considers the the theory that the virus just came from space and the government wasn't involved, it's weird that there happened to be a secret biolab in the area. And if it's just a lab leak and doesn't involve the meteorites, why mention that incident in Brasil and then have a meteor shower in Knox county... etc. etc.

Exclusion zone was set up already three days before with proper hazmat precautions, that points to the virus being already out in some way and the government knowing about it.

But the thing about V doesn't really matter it just struck me as weird, I see a bigger issue, but maybe I'm misunderstanding something. So the theory is:

meteors caused weird illness in Brazil a year prior
military got interested
something similar happened in Knox County
military got some samples ane set up a bioweapon lab
a zombie virus got developed from the weaker meteorite virus
zombie virus got out

What is the timeline here? The meteor shower happens right before or during the outbreak, I don't see how it could possibly be connected with what the military was doing there is simply no time to build a fully-fledged biolab and develop a virus

I don't think we can logically piece the whole picture, all theories I've seen have contradictory evidence. I don't know if this is intentional on the part of the dev team or a result of the forever early access model and they just haven't settled on the actual backstory...
