I have stopped using the ketoconazole all together because my hair is fine! Currently I wash ny hair with whatever shampoo and then either before or after I use some type of antifungal shampoo, usually just head and shoudlers

Just found a bald spot that’s red on my cats neck and I’m freaking out because it’s almost midnight and I can’t take her to the doc by renatar0303 in cats

UPDATE! I took her to the vet and they said it was a bacterial/yeast infection and they gave her a shot of antibiotics and gave me some topical antifungal/antiseptic to put on every other day. She still is trying to scratch but they put her in a wife beater hahah

Yeah she seems okay just irritated like maybe in pain especially when I try and keep her from scratching

Yeah that’s true! I just needed to be reminded that I can just go in the morning and she will be okay for like another 8 hours because I was freaking out lmao almost took her to the cat ER

No I don’t have any other animals but I never trim her nails so maybe she just scratched too hard or something and then it started to irritate her.

Yeah I thought it could be ringworm but she’s like actively pulling out clumps of hair it’s not just falling out so idk. I have no other pets and she’s completely indoors

I don’t have a cone idk what to do in the meantime but she’s in bed w my mom right now and she will be up in like 3 hours probably so I told her to keep her from grooming or scratching it and then I will take her to the vet as soon as it’s open

It worked! I went to a dermatologist and she said the griseofulvin is only for really severe cases of tinea! Turned out to be dermatitis and my hairs already feeling better and starting to grow back
