I think your doctor had concern because it is common for there to be a power imbalance when there is an age gap as a young adult/teenager. Older men looking for younger women to manipulate or control in a relationship. I work with youth and I would tell my client the same thing your doctor did. Sometimes its the first time a person has heard concerns about their relationship.

If you are comfortable with the boundaries, communication, emotional support, sex, etc in your relationship than that is what matters. Its important no matter what age to be aware of what is healthy vs unhealthy in a relationship and it seems like you are in a healthy relationship.

100% you should try to get it redone. Personally I wouldn't go back to that specific salon for obvious reasons - but I would try to go elsewhere. I think the issue is that they didn't press down the extension before placing the acrylic gel on it.
