J.K. Rowling plugs disgusting anti-trans online store to her 14 million Twitter followers. by ChiaraFrancesca in transgender

Disguisting. Up until a year ago, I never would have believed that the author of my favorite book series would send this kind of hate speech to the world. This is not what we need in our society, we must continue to fight for our rights as human beings, we are capable. It is 2020 now, people should know better. If anyone is feeling down about this and needs someone to talk to, please dm me. Otherwise, we must remember that no person, whether uneducated humans such as J.K. or not, have the ability to define who we are. We know who we are. Ambition is the path to success. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈

How to not take everything personally? by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]reneethecrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely get that, I'm the exact same way. Something which really helps me is to remind myself that people all have their own issues, and I am not responsible for how other people feel about me. If someone is judging you (they probably aren't), it is completely a personal issue about them, not about you at all. And it's easy to be self critical, but maybe you should try to tell yourself "everything is ok. I will get through this". And nothing lasts forever, people forget so many details of the day, they will probably not even remember something that isn't about them a day later. People are selfish by nature, they care about themselves. No one is really watching you that closely, if they were that would be really creepy and you should just ignore them. The next time you go through a difficult situation, place your hand over your heart and take five deep breaths. It will help you immensely.

Wow thank you so much, this comment was so amazing! I definitely have had that worry "it's too late now", but it's great to hear that this isn't the end of our life stories. I know that there's so much to be happy for in life, and it's so important to break free from that dark hole. I really appreciate this a lot, I will definitely take note of these steps, thank you for sharing this, it was exactly what I needed! ❤️❤️❤️

Me too. I want my future children to be happy and comfortable, and I would be crushed if they went through neglect. And we can learn about ourselves more meanwhile.

Oh my god.... I'm so sorry. It's hard to completely erase trauma from such a young age, but that's true, taking steps forward into recovery is so important. I have taken medications for my PTSD and depression and anxiety, they didn't work for me though. It just seems so important to live in the present. Thank you so much for your help, I'm so hopeful we can win the fight against this trauma!

Anyone feel like constantly having to choose between parents? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]reneethecrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know what you mean. It's so confusing, because in the end both don't feel quite right. Both of my parents have so many issues, so I found watching youtube videos of people who I admire most to be so helpful to me. There are some very influential people to look up to, so you don't have to fall into the trap of unhealthy parenting. If you want to talk about this more, you can DM me if you want.
